Hey gang - we were just down at US in May of this year...and we still have our refillable mugs - they are the red ones with the white tops...

Have the mugs changed since May - or can we use the ones we got on our last trip?

Thanks a bunch!!!

*Also, please excuse my using "ISO" for Islands of Adventure (IOA)- have no idea what the heck I was doing...*

We were there in june and they still had them :thumbsup2

Even if the mugs change you'll still be able to use the one you got.

Mine is spiderman with the handle, I don't know how long ago I got it.

They also now have a refillable guitar to tie into rockit and The alien cup you can buy in MIB Store is also refillable.

I'd be curious to know if they all have similar ounces or if there is one that nets you a little more liquid on each refill

We are going down in June, I was wanting to know the answer to this question as well. Wondering if it would be worth it to pack the thing and take up space in my backpack, suitcase/carry on. My goal is to have one check in suitcase for 4 people, then have a carry on suitcase and a backpack for each of us. I am almost positive I can do it, I just need practice.

I am using the same refillable mug for over 4 years. It looks a little battered but as long as it doesn't leak, I'll keep using it!

The only thing different I have noticed is they changed the straw color. Our old one had a red straw and the new ones had a white. We still had no problem using our old one.

Universal Studios, unlike Disney, does not care if you use old cups. The refills won't be free though unless you have the meal deal for that day but you can still get refills on old mugs with no problem. You just have to pay the refill price. Even if the cups change, you can still use them. I have a MIB cup that I've used for 7 years.

Thanks Gang,
I will be packing mine. Hubby lost his. Sucks as he is the one who drinks the pops. I drink water and they refill that for free. It sure is handy to have. I rotate it, my Seaworld one, and two that my kids have bought for me as gifts; out daily for water at work. I do NOT use water fountains ever! Those are worse than drinking out of a toilet IMO. I am a school teacher, so the only thing worse is the handrails on the staircases. It saves me money and the environment by using refillable bottles. :thumbsup2

Yes you can bring any old universal mug and get refills for a little over a $1. We bring ours each time. The one thing you have to consider if you decide to buy one, is how bulky is it. We have a spongebob one that is easy to hold and carry. We also have one that we got sooooo long ago and it is so bulky that I don't even bother bringing it. FYI, Seaworld will also let you bring old mugs to their park and get refills for a small price. Another FYI, for a little bit more you can get icee refills also. They are a little bit more but still worth it on very hot days to cool the kids down.

I was at US & IOA on April 02 to 03, 2010

Buy 2, get 1 free refillable mugs for $14.82 something including taxes.

Each refill costs $0.85 includes tax.

Good to know the prices of the mugs and refills !!! Is the price for the icee mug different or is it just you py more for an icee refill and how much is that?? I reuse my Disney mug alot !! Have never had a problem with it either !!

Ur right there is a icee mug and refill price but not sure what those are

I do know the alcohol pilsners can be refilled for the price of the non souvenier price, saves u a couple bucks, not a huge savings but it's something
