Have these New Year’s Eve and parade plans always been on the calendar?

So, I noticed while looking at the events at the park today that it showed New Year’s Eve fireworks for the 30th and the 31st at Magic Kingdom on my Disney app. Though the 6:30 show just says enchanted. Then I realized it shows the after hours parade as being scheduled for 12pm and 3:30pm everyday from the 22nd-31st and the last after hours party is on the 21st.

Is this a chance or did I just not see it before? It looks like they have officially announced that they will have the New Year’s Eve fireworks at midnight 30th and 31st at MK, Epcot on the 31st and will be doing the parade during the day after the ends. Is this old news or am I misunderstanding something?

The parade was added last week but I believe the fireworks shows were added the last day or two
