Rain Man(Dustin Hoffman, Tom Cruise) had the part filmed here with the trees on both sides of the road going over the road(It's at St. Anne's Convent in Melbourne/Silver Grove, Ky) & Fresh Horses(Molly Ringwald & can't remember the guys name) had some parts shot here along with Lockup(Think that's the name--Sylvester Stallone bomb)

Body Heat was filmed near me.
They paid my friend $1000 to use his sports car in a scene. He was just hanging around down by the beach and they made him the offer!
Of course, there were many other movies filmed in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Days of thunder was filmed in Daytona. It is my understanding that this was where Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman met. I met a local lady whose son is disabled, and apparently TC stayed at their house during part of his stay as a kind gesture for her son. Didn't hear very nice things about how NK behaved in "real life" This was a long time ago, though.

Chainsaw had some scenes filmed not 1.5 miles from our house. It has a huge Marriot overlooking it now.

There are other films in production as we speak. Alamo is being filmed in SW Austin.

Signs cornfield scenes were filmed about 1 mile from my house (all my girlfriends were on cell phone alert for any Mel sightings -- but alas none of us stalked him successfully!)

Wow, that's strange. In our local newspaper there was a huge article saying the cornfield scenes were filmed along Seneca Lake somewhere. Maybe it was just the overhead scenes.

"Baby it's You" and "Big" are filmed in my hometown. We actually got a chance to audition for parts in "Baby it's You". Copland was also filmed a few blocks away. "Running On Empty" was filmed(some parts) next town over.

The original "Blob" with Steve McQueen was filmed in part in my little town. The diner in the movie still stands and is still a diner, but OMG, they have awful food now!!!

Morgan Stewarts Coming Home was filmed here in Charlottesville both out on the street and at the mall. Toy Soldiers was filmed at the Military Academy 5 miles down the road.

Funny thing is Morgan Stewart was my favorite 80's teen movie and now I live in Charlottesville. I saw it on cable a year ago and started recognizing things!

When I was living in Clayton County, they filmed Smokey and the Bandit there. When I lived in Peachtree City, The Firm, Fried Green Tomatoes and Pet Sematary 2 was filmed nearby. Tom cruise had an apt a mile from my house. All the high school girls tailed him around town.

<font color=navy>Living in the Los Angeles area, there are always movies being filmed around here, or scenes from TV shows ...

Black Sunday was filmed near my house (the Goodyear Blimp has two bases, and one is next to my neighborhood), and the original Gone in 60 Seconds also had a scene filmed in my neighborhood.

The 70's Emergency show used a fire station close to us, and used the hospital I volunteered at as the hospital the paramedics would drive to. Beverly Hills 90210 used a local high school (Torrance High) as their school, etc.

It's common to see cameras & movie stuff set up around here --- it still draws a lot of attention.
