I hope someone please help me decide if I should add the DDP for our coming vacation, it's be two adults, one 12yr old (adult by disney) and two kids ages 7 and 5. we'll be there for 6 days/5 nights and so far I have some ADRs as follow
Liverty Tree tavern dinner
1900 Park breakfast
Akershus breakfast
Sci-Fi lunch
Kona dinner
Ohanas character breakfast

Will it be wise to go ahead and pay for DDP ahead or just go without it?

With your group your DDP cost will be $669.75 for your Group

LTT Dinner - $83.97 (Adults) $25.98 (Children)
1900 Breakfast - $53.97 (Adults) $21.98 (Children)
Akershus Breakfast - $68.97 (Adults) $25.98 (Children)
'Ohana Breakfast - $56.97 (Adults) $21.98 (Children)
Sci-Fi Lunch - $34.97 (Adult Sandwiches) $16.47 (Desserts) $14.98 (Children)
Kona Dinner - $67.47 (Adult - Steak, Chicken, Tuna) $17.97 (Desserts) $14.98 (Children)

So your OOP cost for these meals alone, adding tax would be $560.90. Subtracting that from the cost of the DDP ($669.75) leaves you $108.85.

The $108.85 will pay for your CS meals and snacks for the entire stay. The average CS (lunch or dinner) meal is $10-$12 for adults and $4.49 for children. So long as you all order your own entrees, then you'll probably come out ahead with the plan.
