have plus's left on ticket

how do i find out how many they were bought long ago for me and my dh and kids but kids are not using all grown...and dh is staying home...kids are to big now can my grandkids use them?

You can't find out what is left on a ticket until you get to a Guest Services Office. They are located outside each theme park, and in Downtown Disney. Then, you can opt to trade them in for more updated tickets that may suit your needs, or use for grandkids. Of course, technically, they were bought for your kids, and Disney says "no transfer", but as long as it's family....

The only tickets "registered", as far as I know, are the new ones where you get fingers scanned biometrically when you activate the tickets. We have old tickets and they only have my name on them, since I'm the one who ordered them.

Your kids can keep them and exchange them for adult tickets on their next visits at which time the number of remaining days and plusses can be found out.

When you have them scanned there is a good chance the CM will find out that their last usage dates did not make sense for your grandkids' ages.

I was going to say, just have your grandkids use them as is until they show "exhausted" at the gate and admission is denied -- but -- depending on what other tickets you need to buy to finish the vacation, the dollar savings ultimately achieved by using the old tickets as-is may be extremely small.

Considering that a day spent only in water parks did not count as a park day, it is possible you miscalculated and there is still a park day on those old tickets. But it is not a good idea to use up that park day when a new pass with 3 to 9 days needs to be bought and used also.
