Hello!

Just starting to finalize plans for our upcoming trip, April 24-29.

I know Disney has a process for updating park hours (if needed) a few weeks out- does anyone know if this has been done for the above week?

Thanks!

Going the week before and it was just updated a few days ago, so it should happen soon. Now I need to get extra naps in to take advantage of the 11PM-1AM EEH!

I'm expecting the new hours to be posted this Friday. As I am down there that week too...(I foolishly booked that week thinking crowds wouldn't be super high....)

Is there a week where crowds aren't super high? Seems like this is the new normal for crowd levels, unfortunately, with the exception of early Sept possibly.

They just updated for the week of 4/17-4/23 on Friday after 4 pm EST. So I would think the last week should be updated on this coming Friday if they are changing

Thanks so much, that's really helpful. Knowing this, I'll just wait until this weekend before I really start pinning down details.

Watching this as well- we are going the same week?
I’m going then too! First trip to Disney with my BFF of 42 years!

Have wonderful trips!!!

I don't want to jinx it, but I'm cautiously optimistic that crowds will be a bit better that week (vs current peak spring break crowds). We took a gamble and are pulling our kids out of school vs. going during their actual spring break the previous week (we're in MA). I did a little digging into spring breaks in both the US and UK (FWIW), I think the vast majority are done by then. We're also hoping to beat the summer heat and humidity, so fingers crossed for good weather!!

To be fair, I booked in March 2021....and typically the crowds level off in late April early May until they pick up again.

It's not empty, walk on low, but if you're not bogged down by a stroller or other slow people, you could typically get a decent amount done.

I am still optimistic that the crowds will not be high despite the recent (Jan-March) crowds. Spring break and Easter should be over. At least that was my thinking. Touring Plans has kept those crowd level relatively low (3-5s) the whole (at the parks we are planning to attend). And they have been relatively accurate lately. Why are you nervous they will be high? What am i missing. Maybe i need to recalibrate my expectations

We are there that week too hopefully they update hours! Also a heads up there is a LARGE cheerleader competition that week so crowds will be larger.

Well it's spring break for my district, and I think half my town is there.

Do you mind if I ask what state you're in? I know New Hampshire always gets the last week in April, just curious which other states/districts have their break that late. . .

My understanding is the cheerleader competition is just over that first weekend (April 22-24, or thereabouts). . .? Although I suppose participants might stick around afterwards.

They're having an after hours event for them at Magic Kingdom on Monday, 4/25 from 11PM-1AM. So they'll probably be there through Monday, and it looks like they've already built in a buffer for possible revised park hours.

I'm in southern NH, and based on an informal poll, it's like half the town will be there.

Okay, many thanks, that's good to know. I assume they'll be extending MK that night to 11 PM (although we're planning on Epcot Monday due to extended evening hours, so it won't really affect us (I guess. . . ).

Lol, we're north of Boston and we always know it's April vacation in NH when the malls, etc. around here are packed with families down for the day (at least the ones who aren't at WDW :-)
