Have non-expiring 3 day child's ticket w/ 1 day left. Can 13 yr old son still use?

Our last trip to the Universal Parks was almost 10 years ago. My oldest son was 4 and now he is 13. Can he still use his child's ticket that has 1 day left on it? I know that Disney allows this (will upgrade the ticket for free at guest relations) but I haven't seen anything about what the rules at Universal are. Or if he can't use it, can my youngest child who is 5 use the ticket? Or are the tickets non-transferable.
