Have I Missed the Boat? (Narnia Teleporters)

I had no idea they could even be cloned when I traded for my teleporters. This is the first I have even heard of cloning! So in that respect it is not fair to say that those of us that trade for them should think about if it is worth it or not. Not everyone that has traded for them knew about the cloning and as I said in an earlier post I got all 4 sets from 4 different ppl in trade. I do agree that going forward when trading we should all be careful especially now with the new info about the cloning but there are many players out there that are probably just as clueless as I was and have no idea that anyone could even think of doing that!

I have one set of teleporters. After playing that game forever - unsuccessfully - I traded for them. I feel that what I offered was a fair trade and the other player was happy with my offer.

I have absolutely no idea how or where the player that I traded with got the teleporters. To take them away from me is not even remotely a fair solution to the problem. Likewise, giving one to everyone only cheats those of us who legitimately traded for them.

Unfortunately, when things have a perceived value there will always be cheaters. This is human nature. I know that it is an unpopular opinion, but the simple fact is that people's true behaviors come forth in this game. If you are going to cheat your way through a vitual game - one can only imagine what one would do to get what s/he wants in real life.

Just because someone is selling fake jewelry does not mean you penalize all those who having unknowingly purchased it.

I find it funny that someone would trade for 7 sets of Narnia teleporters then turn in the person that traded them to him.

I'm sorry, but I find that rude.

If I had known that he cheated to get them I wouldn't have traded him. It wasn't til AFTER he traded that he said "by the way they are worth nothing, I created a clone to generate the code for them, so I can have as many as I want."

If you want to track him down, I will gladly trade him the dumb teleporters back so I can have my rare stuff back.

I meant no offense when I posted my comment, I merely meant that with anything, for one you should think about what you are trading and trading for and make sure you will be satisfied and not regret it (or at least not too much when something else comes along). In the instance of the cloning it is even more important to do this. I do feel bad for those who were scammed if they did get a telelporter or anything that may have been cloned especially if they feel had. But if they are happy with their trade and item then there shouldn't be too much of a problem. I don't agree with those who are doing the cloning and as I mentioned before they will get what they deserve in the end. Just keep in mind also that just because a person may have multiple sets for trade they may have gotten them legitimatly so think before reporting, and if you don't feel good about the trade don't do it. I hope Lady you are happy with your teleporters and want them still. And again I am sorry if I offended you as this was not my intention.

I know in our house we played for hours and really days to win two sets, one I kept the other my DH kept, I trade for another set, then trade those away, To take anything away would be a crime against all the people who played for literally days/ weeks if your still playing.
I would suggest they only punish those proven guilty. And having x # of sets is not a tale tale sign of guilt.

Remember justice, If someone was dumb enough to say on VMK how they got them then fine, but suggesting honest good players and traders on VMK is not the answer. I can not count how many rooms I have been in where everyone stock piles everything, because it will be come super rare one day.

The ones who have done this can easily trade for several sets of doors and do the same with these. And I personally think they were smart to not trade them all away.

It is very sad some cheat the system. They should pay no one else.
