Have AP, need to buy a few hoppers, what discount?

My daughter and I have deluxe annual passes, but I need to buy a 1 day, 1 park ticket for hubby and 2 day hoppers for my niece and mother in law. Any idea what the AP discount is if I buy their tickets? Can I buy ahead or only the day of? Where? What would be the cheapest method? Can I even buy 3 tickets or do they limit how many I can buy?

I'm not aware of any discount on tickets for having an AP of any level. If you're a SoCal resident you can get a 2-day park hopper for $94 for adults and $84 for kids (same as the 1 day park hopper price). There is a limit but it's fairly high... 3 tickets wouldn't be an issue.

Sadly, the Disneyland AP does not come with discounts for buying other Disneyland tickets.

Probably the best way to do what you want is "everyone gets in for the kids price" promotion that is going on now. Or perhaps the "two-fer" ticket that can be upgraded for $25 (? I think) to make it a park hopper.

I'm not a So Cal resident. I had thought the AP had some discount, bummer! I'll have to look for the best prices then.
