Have any trick or treaters come to your door yet?

not yet. we usually don't get any until it gets dark. probably another hour or so

I thought they would start about 3 pm, but it wasn't until 4 or so that the groups started arriving. Our weather is cold and windy but dry ( finally) but I love Halloween so I hope we have a lot of kids

Why did you have trick or treating on Thursday (day other than halloween)?

It is still too early here (only 3pm) I don't expect any for 2 - 3 hours yet.

Had our first trick or treater at noon! Been a steady stream of them since then. Alot of kids getting dropped off in vans, they either don't live in the neighborhood, or where they live they don't celebrate it. Here we have a ton of kids!

we never have trick-or-treaters, because we live in the boonies. i bought a huge bag of reese's stuff and i'll take it along so i can give it to any other trick-or-treaters we see tonight.

I feel for you. I sold my house in the boonies and bought a condo closer to town. Now after 17 years of boonie life I have TRICK OR TREATERS.

Trick or Treat is from 4 - 8 here -

and our house has stairs to get to it - kids, esp the little ones usually skip our house and go to the homes without stairs!!

I do get a lot of the "older" kids - or large groups -

So far I've had 3 groups - about 10 kids...

The first group I noticed everyone must've gone to Sam's Club and gotten THE SAME BAG OF HERSHEY MIX candy!!

So I decided to break into the Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa and the Boo Berry Frank n Berry Fruit Roll Up boxes I got at Sam's

The last groups "OMG - I LOVE FRUIT ROLL UPS!! Thank you so much!!"

Oh WOW Thank you for the Hot COCOA!! I'll drink that when I get home!! (keep in mind its supposed to dip in the mid to low thirties here near Chicago!!)

We've gotten about a dozen...more than ever before. It probably helps that we are the crazy Halloween house with dancing lights synchronized to music!

6:15 and not a single one yet. This delayed time change is crazy!

It is 5:15 here adn no kids yet. It is warm and muggy here too and you can feel that rain is coming. I hope that the rain holds off a few more hours, I love to hand out candy! I bought 90 bars of candy at Costco and a big box of Tootsie Roll Pops JIC, but I really doubt that we will go through it, each year the number of children dwindles a little more

I have my door open and the talking mummy has not stopped roaring out there . The wind trips the sensor so it sounds like Halloween

I had my first 3 just after 6 - our hours are 6-8 pm.
Three princesses.

I expect maybe 5 or 6 more before 8.

We have hardly any ToTers in our neighborhood.

Ours is from 6-8 and as of 6:38 we have had no one. Our neighborhood does not have many little kids, they are all at least in high school by now and most of the neighbors don't participate anymore. I will probably turn off our light if we don't get anyone soon. At least I only bought two small bags of candy so no big deal.

3:30 here and nobody yet, but I think as soon as it gets dark, they'll be out. This is our first year in this neighborhood and I'm hoping I bought enough candy. I made up about sixty treat bags, and I have another big bowl of candy bars. I'm guessing I have candy for about 100 trick-or-treaters. Crossing my fingers that it'll be enough.

Got some in the last half hour. About a dozen so far.

The first ones we had were tweens with the trailing mini-van.... they said it was because it was so warm out.
It is very very hot.

I just had two girls show up. A giant banana and Sally from "The Nightmare before Christmas".

Both costumes were quite elaborate!

I just had a teen dressed as a whoopie cushion. Meanwhile, his two too-cool-for-school friends sat on my steps and texted.

Trick or Treating here is from 6 - 8 PM. It is almost 7 and we've had none.

I live on a cul-de-sac of 13 homes and none have young children anymore. We rarely get any ToTers now. I have one bag of Tootsie Pops just in case.

Well, The trick or treating just started about 15 minutes ago. I've had my 3, their friend and about 7 other kids. It will go on for a couple of hours but I'll probably only get about 5 or 6 more kids. I'll shut the light off about 9PM.
