The beds in the studios were always so small....like doubles.
Have any of the DVC resorts upgraded in the last few years? We haven't stayed since 2008 at a DVC resort

They all have at least 1 queen bed, always have. OKW has 2 queen beds, others have 1 queen and 1 double sleep sofa. VGF and VWL also have a twin pulldown.

Yup, they are queen beds plus a pull out bed.

OKW would be the best option if you want more proper bed/mattress space.

AS Debbie said, the studios have always had one queen bed and a full (double) pull out sofa. OKW has always had 2 queen beds in the studios.

In understanding of the OP, however, I have noticed that since we bought a king bed here at home a few years ago, beds elsewhere feel smaller. If I didn't know better, I might have thought that they'd switched out the beds in the DVC studios for smaller beds. And my DMIL's bed, which really is a double, that one felt so tiny when we slept in it. So I can understand why she might think queens are doubles-sometimes they feel that way!

Nah, they are all queen sized. I measured them.

VGF, the new resort, has a queen and a pull-out couch queen, not just a double. I have always wondered if some are smaller than queens, not by comparison to home beds but to each other because for some reason I always get the sense when staying at AKV Kidani that the queens there are somewhat larger than ones elsewhere.

funny you say this. we sleep on a king and feel like hotel queens are kid beds pratically lol
but..

I do remember posts in the old days about how the "disney queen" felt smaller than normal hotels....doesn't mean it was.

just curious what people thought :)

We sleep in a king also and even though they beds are smaller than what we are used to, definitely feel larger than a full size which is what we have slept in at DD's! So small and short.

The queen size beds in a studio at WDW are the same width and length as our one at home. DH and I feel lost in a king bed, it's so big.
