Have A Stitchin' Good Time!! WDW & The Dream in March '13! NEW 3/20!

that's what I don't like about vacation be over, is back to reality and cooking/cleaning ...

great you aren't feeling the stress of Christmas...I always try to have it done early so I can relax and enjoy the last couple weeks before hand!

cute photos from the santa breakfast! nice to see D's scrunchy nose smiles again :)

FYI - I posted some memory lane Disney photos on my PTR

I think the "having it done early" plan is definitely the way to go!! :thumbsup2 that way, it's not as crazy closer to time!

Yes, D's scrunchy face appears still from time to time! :lovestruc

LOVE the memory lane photos!!! So wonderful! That's what I love about Disney memories. . .they just make your heart happy!!

All caught up now! Very jealous of your Disney cruise. DW has major sea sickness issues, so we haven't even attempted a cruise of any kind. Once the kids get a little older, we may give it a go.

I had some difference of opinions with DD6 as well with our lodging plans for our upcoming trip in January. I was leaning for AKL once the discounts became available, but DD really had her heart set on AoA - Finding Nemo Suites. So despite my best efforts to promote AKL, we will be staying at AoA which I'm still very excited about!

Joining in! You have so much excitement - I love it! (It reminds me a little of myself lol) Your son is so cute, and always seems to smile for the camera. Your plans sound great so far - Club level, cruising, WDW… some of my favourite things. I look forward to reading more!

Hi! Welcome!!! :yay: I have major motion sickness issues (car sickness, even those motion rides), but cruises never bother me. I sometimes wonder if it's that I eat so much on a cruise my stomach is too busy dealing with that?? ;) I hope you'll be able to do a cruise with your DW sometime! They are great!

I'm glad someone else's child has strong opinions on the resort! I am feeling quite certain that if D has his way, we'll never stay anywhere except WL (not that that's a bad thing!). I am excited for y'all to stay at AoA! I can't wait to see the pics!!

Hi!! Welcome!! :yay: Yes, I am ALL about the excitement!! :dance3: That's part of the reason I have to have a PTR. . .to contain some of it (or to at least have another outlet for it so DH doesn't have to hear it all the time!). Thanks for the compliments about D! I think we've taken so many pics of him that he's just used to it. He now has one of those little toy cameras and he will hold it up and say, "Let me see your smile!!! Smile for the camera!" :rotfl2: We've never done Club level before, but I am definitely certain it will become one of my favorite things with WDW and cruising!! Thanks for following along!!

Ok, y'all. . .there should be another update coming tomorrow!

Yay! Day 2 plans! I hope we will have rested the night before, because I am ready for a big day on this day!

We will be getting up sort of early, because we have to make an 8:30 ADR (more on that in the dining part). Ok, here’s the info on the tickets. As I said earlier, we had bought parkhoppers originally. This was supposed to be our AK morning (my favorite park). After we started talking about it, though, we realized that there was SO much we wanted to see at MK with all of the new stuff. So, we changed our tickets to 2-day base tickets, and we’ll be at MK both days! This is definitely D’s favorite park, so we are looking forward to two fun-filled days!

Photo0374FourBySix.jpg

Before our ADR’s, of course, there will have to be CASTLE PICS!! I mean, who can skip those?? :rotfl:

I have a MK Wish-List for our two days. . .filled with the new stuff and with our favorite things. I don’t know if we’ll get it all done, but I’d love to! Things I KNOW D will want to do (and we will want to do) the first day are:

Dumbo

IMG_1219.jpg

D fell in love with this in June, so he is all about riding it again.

IMG_1222.jpg

After that, it’ll definitely be another ride on The Great Goofini:

IMG_1228.jpg

D gave it two thumbs up last time, and I know he’ll love it again this time!!

IMG_1227.jpg

The other thing that we will DEFINITELY have to be prepared to do is the Casey Jr. Splash Area!

Casey%2010.jpg

This opened about 2 weeks after we went in June 2012, so we missed it last time. D LOVES water areas, so I’m hoping he will love this one too. Must make a mental note to take extra clothes. . .gee, those water areas interfere with my matching outfit plans! :rotfl:

The other must-do for us on any (and every!) MK day is the Mickey and Minnie meet-and-greet:

Photo0190FourBySix.jpg

For some reason, D just thinks this is FABULOUS! He wants to do it again and again!!

We are also hoping to really explore the New Fantasyland—I am a Beauty and the Beast freak. . .hello, she’s a princess who READS!! Love it!!

I cannot wait to see that area, and the Little Mermaid area as well!

Now, by that time, if not before, it will probably be lunch time! More info about that later! :)

After lunch, as keeping with our normal plan, it’ll be back to Wilderness Lodge for some down time. I’m hoping that includes a nap, but we’ll see!

There are more plans for this day, but we’ll do some after-nap plans in the next update! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to see the new fantasyland either...belle is a favorite in our house too!

as far as clothes for D...change him into his water outfit, then change back so you will all still match for the day!

Lisa, you rock!! Thanks for the idea of how to "save" the matching outfit plan! I can just take the swimsuit in a big ziplock and then have that to put the wet swimsuit back in!! Love it!!

I'm absolutely looking forward to visiting new FL as well and have been monitoring wait times for Enchanted Tales with Belle and Under the Sea using the My Disney Experience app on my iPhone! It looks like Tales will be the one we'll line up for at rope drop and pulling FPs for Under the Sea.

Good idea on the water suits. I've heard that kids get REALLY soaked.

thanks! not my first "rodeo"...megan is not going to like me sharing this, but back in 2005 we went to DTD our last afternoon before heading to airport and she wanted to play in the fountain... knew I had sweats to change her into for the plane ride home but forgot to pack extra undies in our carry on...so she had to go without

I definitely will want to know how that FL plan works for you! I wasn't sure which way to do it, so it will be good to know! Yes, I had someone tell me the kids got EXTREMELY wet at the Splash & Play! D will love that, for sure!

That is TOO funny!! So sounds like something that would happen to me!! :rotfl2:

Ok, shameless update post below. . .

Yay for almost at 60 days!! That's ADR time, right??

And funny you should ask about the big dinners. . .check out the next update! ;)

Our first “real” countdown night for this trip! Yay! It makes it seem so close!!

Brian and I have always been big Phineas & Ferb fans, and D is getting to where he LOVES it too!

We have always sung “It’s 104 days til Disney vacation!!!” every time we hit that marker. This year, we decided to make it an “official” countdown night. It was even more fun that it fell on a Friday!

Here is the Menu and “Plan”:

The changed countdown calendar:

D posing with the P&F cup!

We were going to watch “A Very Perry Christmas”, but I got outvoted! So we watched the P&F episode, “Rollercoaster: The Musical”! That is one of my favorite episodes, so that was fine with me!!

Countdown Pics:

We cannot wait til it’s time for the trip! Look out, Phineas and Ferb, we’ll be there soon!

what a fun night! you are so creative with your menu's!!!

yes 60 days is PS time (priority seating) not ADR's at DLR ...but think I'm only making one for the dance trip for lunch at Carnation Cafe! just wanting to keep this trip more low key...now Megan's bday trip will be making lots of PS's and taking two tours too!

I am a big dork--I love the countdown nights! We don't do much, but they are fun!

Yay for almost PS time! Sounds great! Megan's bday trip sounds like it will have great plans!! :cheer2:

I've been home with a very sick little D today (stomach bug). I think I have done more laundry today than I usually do in a week! Bless his heart, he's pitiful!

To have a little lighter note, I came in here to update my PTR! So, here we go. . .another Stitch Real Life Update!

Another family winter tradition! My dad’s and my sister-in-law’s birthdays are very close together at the end of November/first of December. We always end up celebrating them together, and it’s right at holiday time, so it feels like it’s part of the holiday season!

We had a blast weekend before last, eating at Mom and Dad’s and just having fun. I love watching D & my niece, Blythe, play together:

What are some of the traditions that your family loves?

Another of our new traditions this year are some of the decorations outside. D told Brian that he needed some new decorations to “help Santa find us”. One of them is, of course, Mickey!

IMG_1739.jpg

I love seeing him in the yard! It definitely makes me very excited for Christmas! Santa, I hope you can find us!! :santa:

I spotted that same Mickey a couple of nights ago while driving. Actually, my kids did - "Dad! There's a Santa Mickey!" :thumbsup2

hope the little man is feeling better

Blythe is getting so big! cute photos of them together!

love your new decorations, I think Santa will be able to find you now:thumbsup2

we love going around to see the holiday lights!

The stomach virus has worked its way through D & I both, so it's been an interesting few days around here. After hearing about the tragedy in CT, though, it really puts things in perspective--sick or not, every minute we have together is precious!

I didn't know whether to wait to update or not--as an educator and a parent, the CT story hit extremely close to me (as I know it did to most people). It did make me more determined to be more positive and to use my time to spread happiness and positivity! That said, here are a few more notes about our countdowns.

I hope all of you are enjoying your holiday season so far!!

This past Tuesday was our 100 day date!! I was so excited to see it arrive! We’ve been counting down on this one for a LONNNNG time, so it’s even more exciting to see it!

The 100-day plan:

IMG_1911.jpg

I actually changed the countdown first thing that morning.

IMG_1903.jpg

100 days!! Woohooooo!!

D, with the countdown calendar! Much excitement for everyone in the family!

IMG_1907.jpg

We had our celebration planned for the evening, which turned out to be a freezing cold night. I know that’s not really surprising for December, but we’ve been having 70 degree weather! So, anything outside was out!

Our “family friends” gathered for Christmas, and for our celebration! ;) Don’t they look excited, too??

IMG_1908.jpg

Notice that George even made the group. . .George goes EVERYWHERE with us. Be prepared to see him more often! :rotfl:

For our dinner, we had awesome taco salad, prepared by the Fabulous Chef of my Household:

IMG_1912.jpg

Doesn’t he look like Mr. Master Chef?? (Seriously, if he didn’t cook, I don’t know what we’d do! :rotfl: )

Dinner all fixed and ready to go!

IMG_1914.jpg

We were supposed to watch the Handy Manny movie, but I got overruled AGAIN. I am sensing that this is becoming a pattern. SO, instead, we watched “Sofia The First: Once Upon A Princess”. For some reason, D loves this, and I think I’ve seen it 60 times!

It was a great night—capped off by D saying, “Let’s talk about the fotel ONE MORE TIME!” Love the excitement in the air!!
