Have A Stitchin' Good Time!! WDW & The Dream in March '13! NEW 3/20!

Those are some great buys!!! I bought one 31 backpack last year from a girl I work with and took it to WDW for a day and it was torn like you wouldn't believe. Meanwhile, I've had backpacks from both VB and WDW too that have lasted longer than a day I'm thinking maybe I needed something more durable for a park haha.

I FINALLY GOT MY LUGGAGE TAGS!!!!!!!!!! They were post marked on the 28th and mailed from Lake Buena Vista..I got them the next day. Go Figure. Where the original package with the book went, I have no idea but at least I have tags! Have a great Saturday!

Great purchases. It was so much easier to disney up my DS when he was younger. It is getting much harder now that he is 8 but I am still determined.

Those Jake swim trunks are adorable. Thank goodness for the friends and family sale indeed.

I am so glad your luggage tags came!!! That's pretty quick service for the ones you had to request again!

A Weekend Good Time!

This past Friday (on our 20 days out date), we had a fun night! Brian, D, and I took my mom out to dinner, and then Mom and I went to see Martina McBride and George Strait in concert! I am a big fan of country music in general (I know. . .it's not for everyone!), and I am a HUGE fan of George Strait. This was his "The Cowboy Rides Away" farewell tour.

We bought our seats in October, thinking my dad would go with us. He decided not to (he was really tired from work), so we just used the seat for our coats. We had GREAT seats (thanks, Brian, for picking them out!!) Just thought I'd share a few pics:

They even sang 2 "oldies" together: "We Got Married In a Fever":

George performed for 1 ½ hours. . .it was TERRIFIC!!

From my personal favorite, near the end "Troubador". . .my favorite line is "I still feel 25, most of the time. I still raise a little cain with the boys." Sounds like my life

Ok, if you're not a country music fan, that was the most boring update ever! But it was such a fun night!! Next up. . .Castaway Cay plans!!

I'm glad someone else does the Disney tshirt shopping right before they go. Sometimes, I think, "Why am I doing this? They have t-shirts there." And yet, I do it anyway! Yep, we had a great time--those coats were all into the show!! Come on, less than 3 weeks!! Definitely getting more excited!!

Ahh. . .the cruising life!! Today (which will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013) is Castaway Cay day!! This is the place I dream about!

We will be up EARLY this morning because I want to eat breakfast and be down there and ready to be off the ship as soon as they will let us!! I don’t want to waste a minute of this day!

When we went before, we didn’t see a lot of characters. We’re definitely going to change that this time!

We hope to just grab a spot on the family beach and swim and play all morning! D may even want to check out Pelican Plunge! This is completely new to us. . .they didn’t have that this time!

Then, it’ll be time for lunch at Cookies!

Castaway Cay plans sound great. I am curious about if you have a plan for getting a good spot on the family beach? Is there a DIS strategy for that or is it just to make sure you are one of the first off the boat? Is there a specific place on the beach that is better than another or is it all good?

I don't know of a strategy. I am just hoping to be down there early and be one of the first ones off the boat. For me, as long as the sun is shining, anywhere they let me be on the beach will be terrific!! (Though, if you hear of a good strategy, let me know!! )

20 Day Countdown Party!!

Our 20 days out date fell on last Friday, March 1st. Is anyone else having a hard time believing it is already March??

That day was also Dr. Seuss Day at D’s “school”, so they got to wear pajamas to school. D’s pajamas of choice?? Lightning McQueen!!

Just because it wouldn’t be a countdown day without it, the changed refrigerator board:

When we got home from school, D celebrated the “arrival” of his new Disney buddy. . .Wally the Walmart Truck from Cars!

That night was also the George Strait concert, so we decided to have our “party” the next day. When we woke up, we had this:

We also had Easter pictures and some shopping to do that day! That night, we were all tired, but we celebrated our “under 20” day with D’s FAVORITE meal, chicken tenders and fries:

Then we did one of D’s favorite pre-Disney activities, watched monorail videos on YouTube. We are definitely ready to be riding the monorail!!

Mousekeeping, Magnets, and a Monkey!

Last weekend, I worked on getting a few little detail things ready. We don’t do autograph books (just because D isn’t interested), but I wanted to do a few things for our trip.

I made envelopes for Mousekeeping, TurnDown Service, and for some of the Cruise Staff:

A wonderful DIS-er on the Cruise Board (Eva) made these designs for us, and I made door magnets out of them:

I made these with my Cricut and magnetic strips (ignore the bad photography—I was trying to take them before work, and I was sleepy!!):

In addition to that, even George is READY to go!!!

So looking forward to our fun adventure!! 2 weeks from today!!

can't believe you are so close to leaving! we did room service on our CC day so we didn't have to waste time in the buffet line...getting of the boat early will help you get a spot closer to the water or where ever you want to be!
