Have a rental car-but want to check bags at BC anyway?

My coworker is going to check out of BCV on a Sun for a 3PM flight home.

They have a rental car.

Can they just "show up" at the airlines desk and check bags and get a boarding pass?

That way they just return the car and no checking bags or getting b passes.

And if OK-what time do they need to do this-at 11AM ok?

Sure. RAC (Resort Airline Check-in) isn't part of DME, so you don't have to use DME to use RAC. (Just think of RAC as curbside check-in, except that the curb is about 20 miles from the airport.) 11am is definitely OK; you have to do it at least 3 hours before your flight.

who says you won't get a B pass? You're not guaranteed an A pass if you check your bags at BCV

Are they flying SW? If so, I would tell them to check themselves in, online, at the 24 hr window, or buy EBCI. If they wait to actually checkin until they get to RAC, they are going to end up with a very high slot!!!

That would be the same as showing up at the airport 3-4 hrs prior to departure and checking in there!!! Not a good idea with SW.

Agree that they should check themselves in at 24 hour mark. They do NOT need to print boarding passes at that time, however. They can wait and ask RAC to print the passes for them.

Once you check in online, your boarding position is set. You can print the actual boarding pass at any time after that.

I read this as "boarding passes". By checking in at the resort, when they get to the airport, they just return the car and head to security. They don't have to check bags or stop to get their boarding passes.

good reading but I read it as they thought they would get an A pass and not a b pass:rotfl2:
