It's hard to say - the booths and offerings are different every year. There were a couple of dishes I loved a few years back and haven't seen them since

Best thing to do is check allearsnet.com on the very first day. They will have the menus and prices uploaded.

Typically, the items at Mexico, France, Greece, China, Italy, the soup at Ireland, meat at Australia are usually good. The actual items change from year to year but are always tasty.

After the festival starts, people will start posting reviews of each item. Allears will have a poll with ratings on each food and wine item. It is very helpful when making your list of things to try since portions are large enough that 5-6 is quite filling.

You can also look at last year's reviews in case they bring some popular items back again.

Having "only" a day is difficult at F&W. We usually find that by the time we get half way around, we're full and can't appreciate the other half. So my suggestion is to pass-up any booth that you're not absolutely sure you want to try something at. There will be plenty left.

Spain had this yummy potato, onion and egg quiche like item

Australia had shrimp on a stick, awesome!

China had great dumplings

USA had amazing lobster corn chowder and mini BBQ sandwiches

Italy had a pasta dish with onions and pancetta that was out of this world.

My suggestion is to drink, drink, drink! We usually take two days at F & W but alas we will miss it this year. Have one for me~

I would say go for the lamb at New Zealand or Australia they are sure to have it, I can't wait to try it as lamb is often lacking on many restaurant menus
