Haunted Mansion Ring

I have heard and read a little bit about this hidden "Haunted Mansion engagement ring" that is hidden somewhere surrounding the ride. Has anyone been able to locate it recently? My fiancé, one of my friends and I were at MK yesterday and tried to find it, but were unable to locate it. Anyone have any luck finding it? Where is it located?

maybe I'm wrong but i thought that it was buried in cement in the queue line. I thought i heard they buried it when they did the last Queue expansion there.

Yes,that is correct.

In a "nod" to the long-standing "belief" by some Guests that the remnant of a "sawed off post" was a wedding ring,the Imagineers placed a REAL ring in the new Queue.

In the old queue line they was a post that was cut off at some point and the remnants of said post were in the concrete. Because the post was hollow steel tubing it left what looked like a ring stuck in the concrete. That's where the story came from.

Here is a greatly magnified image (photo by bradk) of the old "ring"
seen in the pavement of the pre-refurbed queue.

They had just repainted the pavement (along with the ring) black.

(No, there was no real show called "CSI: Disney World.")

About how far back from the door where you enter the HM is it? Near the door or farther back in the queue line ???

My husband made a special trip through the queue after he rode HM just to get a pic of the ring. It's in a corner of two walls, and if you're not looking down, looking for it, you'll walk right by. According to one CM, Madame Leota threw her ring out the attic window upon discovering that Master Gracey had been unfaithful.

The back story for this ride confuses me. So many different variations. Just out of curiosity, can anyone tell me how to attach a pic to your post? I tried to attach the pic my husband took, but I'm not sure how. I did a search, but I think I'm not wording it right. TIA.
