I loved this parade! We endured the 105 degree weather and a very smelly guest next to us to watch the parade!
I love your up close pictures! Jaws is my all time favorite movie and I really enjoyed the floats and parade actors for Jaws!

I do too. Universal really hit it out of the park with this parade.
Wow…..it was smoking hot when you were watching it at 105 degrees and the smelly guest didn’t help matters. You are a trooper for sure.
So glad you are enjoying the pictures.
The Jaws float and actors on the float and the ones around the float were awesome.
Universal does a wonderful job of pulling just the right scenes from the movies to depict in their parades.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH CONTINUED
After I was done watching the Mega Movie Parade I was ready to leave and head back to the resort. I had poured a little of my cool water down my back to cool off on my way to the boat. I had worn my Wednesday Addams Crocs and good thing I wore socks as I was squeaking on the way back.
Thankfully the Boat was still at the dock, but the Captain had just let the last person through the gate and was starting to walk away. I was close enough to call out to him to hold the gate and he did.
Strange thing is I’am used to the Florida sun and heat, but after the parade I had had enough. I was a happy camper that I had seen the parade, but I was hot and tired.
I was glad to get on the boat.
After getting back to the resort I went straight to the room and got in the shower then put on some comfy clothes. The room was nice and cool from the airconditioning. I made sure to drink some more fluids and then grabbed my Harry Potter blanket and you know the next thing I did. I laid down for a little snooze.
My sister was back from the pool and she was reading. She told me she looked over to say something to me and I was fast asleep.
I snoozed for a couple of hours and by the time I woke up it was time to be thinking about dinner.
My sister suggested we go to El Potro a Mexican restaurant she had found and read reviews on last September. We had gone there last year and the food was good. It is located not far from Universal on Kirkman Road. It is located in a shopping center.
You are served salad a chips while your meal is being prepared. The food is authentic Mexican cuisine and it was delicious. We ordered some Guacamole and it was really good.
I ordered a combo plate that had a taco, tostada and burrito. I was expecting a small portion of each, but this was a lot of food. My sister K had the same meal and we could not finish all the food.
I was glad K had remembered this place.
Our waitress was nice and our service was very good.
This was our last night on vacation and it had seemed that the time had flown by as we talked about what we had done.
After dinner we headed back to Portofino and to our room and packed up so we would not have much to do much in the morning.
After we were done we went down to the Club Lounge and said our goodbyes to the Staff that were working in the evening.
They had the sweet evening treats out.

After we were done visiting we headed back to the room and I did take another shower and put on my comfy jammies. I called my husband and told him of the days events then it was time for bed…..as you know I was out before my head hit the pillow.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH
I woke up and just decided to chill for a while as there was no need to rush this morning. After my sister got up we headed to the Club Lounge and had a light breakfast and we were able to say goodbye to some of the staff and thank them for being so kind to us.
The Staff in the Club Lounge are so kind and attentive. Our experience this year and last year had been wonderful.
If you are thinking of doing Club Lounge at Portofino do it. You will not be sorry.
After breakfast and saying our goodbyes we headed back to the room and closed the suitcases and we were ready to check out.
Check out was a breeze. I had my sister wait with the bags as I went to the parking garage for the car. We got things loaded and were off to Sanford Airport.
We returned the SUV once at the Airport. Then we went through security and waited for our plane.
The airport was busy.
We had an uneventful flight back to Indiana.
My brother in law K’s husband picked us up from the airport.
I was glad to get home and see my hubby.

TRIP RECAP FROM A NICE VACATION THAT INCLUDED HHN, SHOPPING, DINING, POOL TIME AND LOTS SISTER OF TIME.
I KNOW I HAVE SHARED THIS BEFORE, BUT I LOVE ALL THINGS HALLOWEEN NEXT TO CHRISTMAS IT IS MY FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR. HENSE MY LOVE OF HHN.
So my celebration started before I left for vacation with decorating my house for Halloween.
I decorated a Witch and Pumpkin Tree
Then before we knew it my younger sister K who traveled with me and I flew our of Evansville after many delays and finally arrived in Sanford via Allegiant.
I went to visit my favorite store for animatronics that set the mood for HHN for sure.
We stayed at the beautiful Portofino Bay Club Lounge with the nicest staff. Thank you to all of you who made our stay so special from start to finish.
We saw pretty Halloween decorations at CityWalk. Hello again little Boo.
