My tundra's bed is 69 ins . I am trying to come up with a way to haul a cart one thing is putting ramps in the bed to get the front end up to get more room. Any good ideas ,we dont own a cart but a friend has a cart company so he will loan us one :) I just have to be able to haul it :confused3 .

Golf carts are usually about 8' long (96")....is the 69" on your bed with the tailgate lowered? The wheel base is usually 65-68", so add the wheelbase to half of the difference of the overall cart length(96-68=28, 28/2=14, 14+68=82)So you'll need at least 82" for your rear wheel to remain in the bed of the truck. Assuming your 69" doesnt include you tailgate laying down, and tailgates are usually in the 18" neighborhood(69+18=87")....you should be OK.

I seriously wouldnt suggest ramps in the front, it just sounds like trouble....Id say rent a uhaul trailer, but that would deplete some of the savings of not renting a cart from Disney.

dont forget the cost of ramps to get it into the truck bed...and MAKE SURE THEY ARE WELL SECURED BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE UP THEM...and as Gatordad said in another thread...ya gotta get enough speed to make it UP the ramps without slamming into the rear of the cab!

I have a set of trifold ramps so thats not issue. That is with the tail gate up . I guess renting is my only way to go .

No...if thats with your tail gate up, you can fit the cart in there....leave the tailgate down it shouldnt have trouble supporting the rear wheels of the cart. Just be sure to apply the brake on the cart, and tie strap it down nice and securely. Now that doesnt leave a whole lot of room for luggage, etc, but you can bungee web a ton of stuff in the golfcartdriver area, and get a travel bag for the roof of the truck....you can make it work with some organized, well thought out, creative packing. Youre not defeated till ya give up.

ooooof....good point..........NEVERMIND!!! :)

The big problem is hitting my hitch on the TT with the tail gate .

Potential issues

Tailgate hitting hitch ( already mentioned )
Travel trailer hitting tailgate while turning or backing in
Suspension of the truck able to support the weight of the cart and the TT.

Not legal to tow a trailer behind your TT in Florida.

Theres always a way, it's just a matter of finding out what it is and how much your willing to pay to do it.

Just an idea take a pair of 2x10's and put them in the bed first and drive tihe cart on them and take the tail gate off. The extra 1 1/2 fet or so will support the back wheels and still give you room for your hitch.

I was thinking about doing that with my ramps let them support the wheels.I just dont want to damage anything in th adventure.

Be CAREFUL , don't want anyone winning a Darwin Award. .Mr.:goofy:

I don't know where to find them but I have seen on the net before a rack that mounts to your bed rails and then you load your cart from the side of your truck and it sets on top of your bed rails.

we used to carry our cart in the bed of our tundra and hook up our tt and go from there...i have to tell you that it was not the best scenario i could imagine...it just made driving so touchy with all that weight in the bed of the truck...we invested in a small 2000gvw trailer for the cart because it was just too much to get it up in the tundra (we had the folding ramps) and out...the truck was really high and it was an effort...

i know you might not be in a position to get a trailer, but it is a very different drive with your tt and that cart in the back...

Why not try loading it up and see how it dose now. It just might work.
