What type of hat do you wear to WDW?

I need something that is light weight, cool and with a wide brim but not too wide. I used to have this one

from REI but I lost it, and the brim was never big enough to keep all of the sun off of my face.

Any suggestions on a great hat?

My friend bought an Animal Kingdom safari hat for her grandpa on the first day of our 2005 vacation. I wore that hat every day. It was shady and cool and crushable and had the string to keep it attached to you. We got it at the World of Disney store in DTD.

I love the hat you pictured! I bought one at wal-mart that is khaki, but has no strap on it. (I got it from the mens section, on the womens ones the brims were too big!) I saw one at the mall recently but can't justify paying $30 for a fishermans hat. (but it sure was cute!)

The safari hat works well because it is light weight and ventilated!! DH searched all over WDW last summer looking for a hat. He finally found one in AK. He said many of the others just felt too hot as soon as he put them on.

Check out Coolibar. DD is on meds that prevent her from being in the sun for long. Tell that to a toddler who loves to swim and boat! Anyways, I got her a hat and hoddie. They sell adult stuff too, including hats, that are lightweight and protects from the sun. A tad bit $$, but worth it.

Wow Coolibar has some great stuff. I just purchased this Columbia Booney hat

It looked like it had a wide brim and I like the idea that it is adjustable. If it doesn't work out I will definitely try Coolibar.

I had an allergic reaction to something while working in my backyard last month and now everytime I go back in the sun I break out again. I guess I really need to watch my sun exposure.

I have a Tilley hat (check website tilley.com) which I just love. I have the TH8 which is a little more femine, but they all have wide brims, optional tie-ons, and are and SPF 50. I just love it!
