Have you ever had someone look at you with hatred? Someone you do not even know? I'm not talking about simple dislike but deep down hatred.. the kind where you feel it to your soul,, like ice going straight through.

I do not understand it. How can you hate someone you don't know? I've tried to understand but can't seem to grasp it. I can understand if you did something to the person but the hate just to hate confuses me.

I guess I have never had someone look at me like that and really spooked me. I know I shouldn't let it bother me but I could have someone shoot at me and it would have not affected me as much. DH always says I am too much an emotional person.

Strange, but if it is someone you don't even know, then it has nothing to do with you. I can understand that it would be a creepy feeling though. You obviously can't have done anything to upset them so, in your position, I would let it go. It must be really miserable being that person, with such strong negative emotions pent up like that. They must have a rough life. I doubt that you are too emotional. I think anyone would be, at least, a little affected by that experience.

Well.. it's was a middle eastern and I am in the middle east so have an idea why but still don't understand all this hate.

I was just walking by. The look just turned me so cold that I can't get it out of my mind

Yep, twice. Once when stopped at a red light (that guy radiated pure evil and hatred and I was never in my life so happy to move from that light), and once at the university. Luckily, I've never seen either person again.

Maybe this person mistook you for someone they knew and hated? I don't know how someone you don't even know could hate you...

Just stick your tongue out at them and make a stupid childish face, maybe it'll make em laugh :teeth:

Snow Angel, this person maybe doesn't like Americans for some reason. I think it would be terrible to have such a closed mind.

Thankfully I have never been looked at that way, at least not until I gave them a reason to. ;)

Hang in there. :D

Maybe it's me, but I don't even get this statement...

You're Middle Eastern? They're Middle Eastern? What are you talking about?

Yep actually, The August before 9-11.... my Mom was in the bank and the kids and I were in the car. The guy was walking by and he was Middle Eastern and the look he gave me made my blood run cold. I even told my mother about it when she got in the car. I was really shaken- he looked at me like he wished I was dead. Nobody (of any race or religion) has ever looked at me like that since.

FOJMO, SnowAngel is active duty US military deployed to the middle east at this time. The person that was looking at her was apparently a native of that country/region and hates Americans in general or our military.

I'm sorry that happened but you got to know that it wasn't personal, he would have given the same look to any American military that he happened to see. He just doesn't know what a great person you are like we do.

Yes I have... it is rather sad when people judge like that based on looks :(

Maybe he doesnt hate you, but what you represent?

PLease be safe and be careful, and know WE LOVE YOU!:D

How horrible. It must be scary to have that happen. I can't say it's ever happened to me, thankfully.
