What is the worst meal you ever had at WDW? It can be either counterservice or sit-down, buffet or a la carte. Was it bad service or bad food?

Let the griping (and debating, I'm sure) begin!

Definitely Hollywood and Vine character breakfast... YUCK!!!! Believe me, I am not one to complain and I tend to find the good in everything but there was nothing good about this one!!!

Beaches and Cream - hands down. Food was great going down, not so great coming back up! DH and both got a nasty case of food poisoning. Our best guess is that the cook handled some raw meat to put on the grill, then made our ice cream sundaeas without changing gloves.

Wow- just thinking about it makes me wretch!

Erin :D

Akershus - just not my cup of tea!

It will be weird doing the Princess breakfast in this same location. Hopefully the food will be better! ;)

ABC Commissary. They had just opened not to many people in there. I got the fish & chips, and the breading was so soggy(yuck!) that i had to pick it off and just eat the fish. :(

Columbia Harbor House at MK.. you could not PAY me to step foot in that place again... yuck yuck yuck, blech!

I loved the Primetime Cafe, but I did get sick afterwards... I would try it again but would not have the Chicken Pot Pie

>>^..^<<

The Land at the Pasta and Potato section.
And funny thing was I drug DH back there (January) because the first time we ate there (May 2002) it was unexpectedly very good!
I'm sure I can't drag him back again, even if I wanted to. :jester:

Tonys...Spaghetti covered with green crunchy stuff and it cost $17.00 to boot. I wouldnt mind paying that if it were good. Not to mention the fruit flies that were swarming around us for the meal, and our request for a change of table to escape them was denied.

I don't think that I have ever had a bad meal, just one that I didn't know what it was exactly when I ordered, so eating it was an experience. It was a greek veggie sandwich from the Commissary, and the texture wasn't my cup of tea, but the taste was good.

Cruise List Mistress,
My husband and I had the fried chicken at 50's Prime Time Cafe
and we both got sick afterwards :( (maybe its the chicken).
But we are going to try Prime Time again this year, we will just stay away from anything with chicken it in.

I would have to say the ABC Commisary and the Electric Umbrella.

ABC's food was just nasty and the Umbrella's food was fine but we sat outside. The *Loud* bird noises they play out there got old *Very* fast, it was just not fun and there were still birds everywhere.

Definitely Fulton's Crab House. I had a bad case of the...um. let's just say I had to run to the bathroom at Pleasure Island not long after eating there. I think it was their key lime pie. It tasted kind of cheesy to me. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he said it was fine and was supposed to taste that way. I should have been more firm in hindsight and sent it back. Thank God they had Pepto-Bismol behind the counter in one of the shops at PI. What a way to end a birthday dinner! Never again.

We had heard such great things about this restaurant that we decided to go on our actual anniversary for dinner --- worst meal ever.

We both had prime rib and all it was all fat and the rest of it was cold. Will never eat there again!

Oooh Gross!! Was this recently?

Not that it made me sick, but we ate at the Garden Grille before CP in December 2001 & I was very disappointed. The steak was OK, not great, not awful. The rest of the meal was marginal, at best. Won't be going back.

No, it was back in 1998...I think the cost of spaghetti has gone up since then. ;) Im all for a sprig of parsley on top of a meal, and even some spices in the sauce, but the entire top of the spaghetti was covered with green leaves. Just too crunchy for my taste.

With us it was two restaurants. The first one was the Rose and Crown (quite a few years ago) and both my mother and I had the chicken and we were both up all night. My DH had a different dish and he was fine.

The second time was at the Land. Both my DH and I had different meals and I got sick and he didn't. Heh! Do you see a pattern here?? Maybe it's me and not the food...:(

Anyway, Tony's was another one but we didn't get sick at that one. We just didn't enjoy the food but we did get one of the menus. My sister is a big Lady and the Tramp fan and I mentioned it to our waitress and asked if I could buy one of the menus and she gave it to me.

These incidents were a while ago and we haven't been back to them so maybe they've improved.

Thanks for the reminder 'cinmell', Planet Hollywood is definitely the worst meal we ever had in WDW. YUCK!
