Has your teen daughter gone to a WDW spa for hair or nails?

Was thinking of letting her get her nails done and possibly hair. Have you tried the WL spa?
Do I need to make an appointment ahead of time?

My wife was able to make an appointment for the following day at the Dolphin, but some other locations were booked during our stay. Is she 18? If not, looks like you will need to be there.

So pre-covid my DD got her hair cut and styled at WL and GF but I didn't think that those had reopened yet. If they have, I would recommend a reservation, at least a couple of days in advance. We were very happy with the results at both places and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Also the price with comparable to our salon in our town.

Personally, I think a better option for hair/nails- generally - is to go to a hair/nail salon before your trip if possible. At least for hair/nails. For a vacation massage though WDW's spas make sense. A pre-trip nail spa visit is a GREAT gift.

A plus of getting nails/hair done ahead of the trip is that it usually costs less. Also, well, if she gets her hair cut locally, then she can develop a relationship with her stylist. If she has a stylist, that person probably already keeps notes on how she likes her hair cut and nails done.

Also, she'll be photo ready right from the get-go.

just FYI, there is also a spa at the Swan Dolphin. (Mandara) I don't know if that's a good option.

If you stay there though, supposedly the resort fee = getting a coupon for $30 off spa services that are over $175. (per the S/D thread.) since they are owned by Marriott, there might also be a way to cash in Marriott points for services.
