DD and I watched Pee Wee's Big Adventure this morning together for the first time. She loved it!

Then I opened up this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly and there is Pee Wee in the magazine. I would love to go out to LA and see his show.

Paging Mr. Herman.

Mr. Herman, you have a telephone call at the front desk.

You should get the DVDs for PeeWee's Playhouse.

I don't know that a stage show would necessarily be appropriate for kids (but I haven't seen the particulars of what he's doing).

The Playhouse shows are totally appropriate, though.

Yep going to get those.

I got four hours of work done one day when we came home with the Electric Company DVD Box Set!

Oh dear, what an unfortunate choice of words for this thread's title. :rotfl:

I was thinking the same thing! LOL I don't think the exposure was to a child at least:rotfl:

I used to watch PeeWee when I was young. Now he comes off as kind of creepy to me, but then so does Mr Rogers;)

That's what I thought too. :rotfl:

:rotfl: Me too.

I was watching it recently and dd came in and said "Is that Pee Wee Herman. didn't he get arrested?" I had no idea that she even knew who he was. She started watching it with me but thought it was too wierd. I continued to watch :rolleyes1

Considering his "issues" with the law the wording of the thread title is a bit disturbing

Hahahha... I thought the same thing. Too funny. And no, the arrest had nothing to do with children.

That being said, my friend and her daughter LOVE Pee Wee.

if the new stage play is anything like the original 'pee wee herman show' it's definatly not for the kiddies.

my kids love the playhouse videos-and occasionly try to steal my pee-wee doll from the garage so they can hear 'i know you are but what am i' over and over and over:rotfl:

I never have been able to stand Pee Wee for more than 30 seconds so I think I will spare my Dd!!

I got a giggle from the title too, but we are big Pee-Wee fans in my house. DH is a card carrying member of Pee-Wee's fan club from way back when.

Thought he was irritating before his arrest and now he is creepy and irritating!

Paul Reuben did do a good job as the drug dealer in Blow with JD though.

:lmao: Looks like I wasn't the only one thinking what I was thinking when I read the thread title!

Loved Pee Wee's Playhouse as a kid. Loved his movies too! My kids have never seen him, but I bet they would love them!

Uh, the only thing is, I would constantly be hearing...."That's my name, don't wear it out" "mecca lecca high, mecca hinney hoe" "I know you are, but what am I"......Don't know if Im ready to subject myself to Pee Wee torture yet!:lmao:

..remember when he was the voice of the shuttle pilot in the Star Tours ride at MGM (before it was Hollywood Studios)?
