Hey! I booked a car reservation through national on March 3, I used a discount. I had it e mailed to me and everything was set. Well after reading some posts today I decided to check my reservation online. Somehow my discount is no longer on it? What is going on? I even tried to make a seperate, new reservation with the discount and it gave me no discount. I am worried! I called National and the lady says they have my reservation and she was aware of my discount but the price is the same without it. She asked if i changed the reservations and I said NO! I told her on my confirmed reservation it is $20 cheaper. She just said to bring that paper with me when I pick up the car. I just don't want to pick up my car and not have my confirmation honored!!!AGH!!!!
 
Granted, I know nothing about these sorts of things... But I'm under the assumption that this is the exact reason for Confirmation slips.
 
I've rented from National several times and only once did my final total not come out to what was on the confirmation printout. That one time, I had an Emerald Club discount that was phased out. When my total on the handheld printout didn't match my confirmation, I went into the counter and they corrected it.
 
I believe they have to honor the price that you have on your reservation confirmation and any discount coupons, DC club card discount etc. that you used to make the original (and your only) reservation. Like DebbieB said if it doesn't match up, you may have to go to the counter and have it corrected.
