After all the so-so reports about HIME, I've decided to go with the Hampton Inn Maingate West. So, after going to their local website and finding a $79. rate (better than the NATIONAL Hampton Inn site by $20), I decided to call with a few questions about credit cards and web reservations. The lady told me that they were SOLD OUT for our dates, and when I said that their website showed "Available", she said "Oh, well, there are probably some rooms left for the internet reservation 'block'. <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">
Has anyone run into this situation before? If you have and it turned out alright, where were your rooms located?
I've never reserved rooms over the internet, so forgive me if I sound a little nuts, but I guess there's always a first time!
To clarify this: I asked her that if I booked over the internet that there would be rooms available - her answer: YES
I then said "but if I book with you right now over the phone, you're gonna tell me that you're booked solid" .. her answer: YES!
O.....K.
Let me hear from you on this
Thanks!
