I booked a flight in the fall for April out of LGA on Spirit Airlines. I purchased it online because they had a feature allowing online customers to book seats in January for this flight. When I tried to do just that, I couldn't get into the system at all. I called them and they explained that they had to postpone the departure time by fifteen minutes and, as a result, no online seat assignments could be made for this flight.
Can anyone explain this to me? Is this frequent with them? Common among airlines?
