Nope, the CM just didn't know that Disney doesn't penalize a child for turning 3 during a trip.

DHS was the only park that questioned my newly 3 yr old. She made her tap her band and said "wow you're big for a 2 yr old" and I explained she turned 3 on Monday and she rolled her eyes and we were on our way.

Funny thing is DD is tiny. She couldn't even ride Mine Train, certainly not tall for her age.

I know the different coasts can have different rules but we had no issues at DLR last Sept.

Not to call out a Cast Member but if you had gotten the name, you might want to go to Guest Relations and not "report" her but say that some Cast Members need to know the rules. Even if you have the approximate time you entered the park, they might be able to remind those Cast Members of the rules.

If you don't know you are doing something incorrectly, you can't change it.

So does all your info come up when you use your band at the park? How did they know how old?

Kids LOVE to tell their age and its a good way to spot kids slipping in as under 3 when they are actually four. However kids also like to lie and say they are older...they always want to be older. A little boy in my church has several preferred ages, If he wants to go to the nursery he tells you "I'm not 4 I'm 2" (nursery age) If he wants to stay in big church with his dad he says "I'm not 4 i'm 25!" :lmao: He is also Harry Potter, kids are hilarious little things.

Oh Get a Birthday pin. Then if questioned you and your child can point out that it is his Birthday and your celebrating the last trip to Disney with him under 3 :)

My son turned 3 on the last day of our trip this past November. We also ran into a CM that didn't seem to be aware of that policy but in the end we didn't have to pay for him.

Yes my DD3 often proclaims to be 7...why? probably because her big sister is 5....

Is there actually a written policy? I know it applies to tickets and the dining plan when a child turns into an "adult," since you pay for those at the time you book. But does it really apply to every age-based circumstance?
