Has Publix Been Re-Stocked Since Matthew?

Having been flooded 3 times in my life I'm sensitive to the plight of those Mother Nature knocks around so please don't think I'm putting our vacation above the needs of Matthew's victims. Flying on South West we get 2 bags each so we can bring supplies that aren't available for sale, we'd just appreciate to know the state of grocery markets around Orlando. We usually stop at the Williamsburg Publix but we're familiar with Gooding's. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm sure it's fine. The distribution centers are mostly in Lakeland, about 40 min away. The area didn't get hit very hard at all. I went to my local Publix about 15 miles outside WDW yesterday for normal shopping - the store looked totally normal stock-wise.

Hi Bill from PA! I am also from PA.. the Lehigh Valley. We moved down to Orlando about a year ago!

Anyway, Publix has been fully restocked. We went to the grocery store on Saturday and all the shelves that were bare on Thursday have been replenished. Just an FYI in case you aren't aware, Goodings is very expensive so I would stick to Publix or Target if possible When we would fly Southwest, we'd get a town car and I think the Williamsburg Publix is usually the one they took us to! We went to Goodings one time and that was only bc our flight was delayed from 6 AM and we arrived at midnight so Publix was not open!

Avoid Gooding's at all cost,find your way to a Publix,Super Target,Walmart,there's a Winn Dixie about half a mile north of the Goodings in LBV or even the Trader Joes or Whole foods on Sand Lake rd,they're all better options than Gooding's.
