Has Disney Parks lost hope in developing great parades and shows?

I think people will expect the new The Little Mermaid show to be like the previous Voyage Of The Little Mermaid show at Disney's Hollywood Studios because this will be the show that will make Disney go back to making good quality entertainment again for their parks. But I do think it's time for Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular to end and Disney's Hollywood Studios should put something new in it's place. Because I cannot see why that show remains popular after all this time. They should make a Princess themed show in that theater or a show devoted to Star Wars would be good to see. But Disneyland needs to think of new ideas for shows but lately their only obsessions for shows seem to be centered on either Marvel or Star Wars and a show based on Disney's Newsies would fit perfectly in the Hyperion Theater or a show about Tangled which would be a musical would be nice as well but Disneyland seems to want a Hercules show in there more than anything in the world

I also think that Disney Parks are focusing more on rides than entertainment because they see that more visitors that go to the parks focus more on rides and shopping and meeting characters rather than shows and parades. But what Disney Parks should seriously think about is making a Disney Princess parade and it would be a tribute to all the Disney Princesses. And it would have floats shaped like storybooks and each Disney Princess would say "Hello I'm Princess Aurora and this is my story" and she would tell a short version of Sleeping Beauty and sing and the same format would repeat with Snow White Cinderella Ariel Tiana Mulan and Jasmine and it would be hosted by Fairy Godmother who would appear at the end of the parade in her own float telling guests "If you believe in magic your dreams will come true" and then Fairy Godmother would wave to guests. And it would be a nice parade for Magic Kingdom to do if it was developed indeed. Because the princesses are huge hits with little girls and everybody this parade would get high marks if it was created
Does anyone agree with me?

No (especially as that wouldn't work)

I also think that Disney wants to have kiddie shows and parades that want to attract children in the 3-7 age range and they are trying to focus less on the older crowd of older kids and adults and you need parades and shows to attract the older kids and adults because those types of shows and parades everyone likes. But when you look at DCA and Disneyland I think DCA was wrong to close ABC Soap Opera Bistro and replace it with Disney Jr. Live On Stage because it seemed that they wanted to attract the infant and toddler crowd when DCA was meant for the older kids and teens and why Disney Jr. Live On Stage continues to be popular i'll never understand why. A second wrong move Disneyland did was change The Golden Horseshoe by losing the iconic act Billy Hill And The Hillbillies to Knotts Berry Farm and when this happened The Golden Horseshoe changed it's show and made it not as terrific as it used to be. And Disney should retire The Golden Horseshoe's show and put a different show in it's place like a country karaoke show where guests could be chosen from the audience and perform country songs and it would be a wonderful idea for Disneyland to do

There are plenty of shows that are in the older age range (including the up-coming Villains show at DHS)

What I wish Disney Parks would very much do an improvement on because character meet and greets are most of their focus now rather than parades and shows is making guests meet characters easily without the hassle of waiting in line. Because I think "the more I read about this" Disney Parks seem to have a problem with character meet and greets. Because I find it odd that people and families wait and wait for their turn to meet characters and they should let the family that's in line first be the very first in line to meet characters and no matter how much you beg and beg for your kid to meet their favorite character first "even if you say "My son has begging to meet Ant-Man so can he go first?' the character handlers do not seem to listen and you are ignored. I think this is one of the main reasons why character meet and greets have become an annoying pain for families to do even though character meet and greets are very big for the parks in the entertainment division. But as I mentioned I think Disney is spending tons of money on developing shows for DCL rather than the theme parks because I think Disney Entertainment thinks that the DCL shows cost less money to put together than the theme park shows at the parks. But at least Pixar Place Hotel in Disneyland has put in the Joe Gardner character to play piano and take requests for songs as entertainment but Disneyland Hotel should revive their nighttime water pageant and make a new version of it for entertainment

There's no problem with meet and greets (at least there aren't at WDW). But that's why I'm glad the characters at WDW have lines

Another show that I cannot figure out how it's still surviving at Disney's Hollywood Studios is Beauty And The Beast Live On Stage and to me I think the show has run it's course and should be retired and another Disney show could be put in it's place "Perhaps make a Frozen stage show to put in that theater or even have a Sleeping Beauty musical be made" Because that Beauty And The Beast stage show has been at Disney's Hollywood Studios since 1991 and something new should be made instead. I think Disney really needs to add more entertainment to Disney's Hollywood Studios because that's the one park that really needs more shows and interesting parades.

I love the BatB show. Also, Studios already has a Frozen show (so BatB doesn't need to be replaced by Frozen). As far as new shows, Studios is getting 2 new ones next month

But they should put a new show in the Cinderella Castle stage that everyone can love. Does Magic Kingdom still do this or does Cinderella Castle not have any shows on that stage anymore?

The castle stage has had a show there since at least 2005

I mainly think Disney Parks want to take chances and develop new parades and and shows in October and November when Halloween is starting at the parks when Christmas is starting at the parks because those two holidays seem to be the only time when new Halloween and Christmas themed shows are made.

None of the parades and shows during Halloween/Christmas are new (especially the parades).

Disney's Animal Kingdom also needs to put something in The Tree Of Life to replace the A Bug's Life themed It's Tough To Be A Bug because it seems that out of all the Disney Parks in shows and parades Disney's Animal Kingdom always is getting new shows while Disney's Hollywood Studios Magic Kingdom Disneyland and DCA haven't developed any good shows or parades anymore

They are (and it's opening in the winter)

What Magic Kingdom should do for this year is revive or create a new Easter parade and with Easter next month Walt Disney World could pull it off very easily. Because it is shocking since the 90's Magic Kingdom has never ever brought back their Easter parades and they should every spring for Easter and it would be called Disney's Magical Easter Parade and it would have Easter themed floats and Mickey And Minnie would be dressed in wonderful Easter attire and it would also feature movie based floats like Wish Moana Encanto Soul Luca and Onward and Toy Story. And at the end the Easter Bunny and Mrs. Easter Bunny would appear much like Santa Claus ends the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. And people who visit Magic Kingdom would love this parade if it were to exist. because Magic Kingdom really needs Easter entertainment and this parade might fit the bill

They did. MK had an Easter pre-parade 4/19 and 4/20 with the Easter Bunnies

There's no reason for it to end (especially with an upcoming Indiana Jones ride opening at AK)

Once the new The Little Mermaid show and Disney Villains show debut at Disney's Hollywood Studios May 27th I think those shows will prove that Disney Parks still have the successful spark to make good theme park entertainment again. And I can guarantee that once those shows open they will receive rave reviews. But with Disneyland I think once the 70th Anniversary Celebration is over they will be developing successful shows and parades. Because as I have mentioned I think Disneyland spends more money on casting character actors to play characters and fixing broken rides rather than making new shows and parades. Because I think when the pandemic happened and the park closed it hurt them a lot but the new Paint The Night hosted by Inside Out's Joy will help Disneyland repair their troubles in the entertainment department and all it will need just from the new parades that have begun to honor the 70th Annversary of Disneyland. "As Jeremy Renner says a little Rennervation"

Joy is not part of Paint the Night. There is actually nothing from Inside Out in the parade. Saw it on Saturday night. And have seen several times during previous iterations.

I honestly do not have super high hopes for the new Little Mermaid show at Hollywood Studios. The previous version was skippable for my family even though we enjoy that movie.

And regarding spending more money to fix rides. Most people are there for the rides and if maintenance is not done regularly to update or fix broken rides, there will be no rides for anyone to ride. I got to Small World on Saturday after its long refurb and it looks great. Lighting has been updated. New Coco characters added. New paint and all dolls fixed and working. Just overall looked amazing! The renovation there was so needed.

My daughter is so excited for the new Little Mermaid show. I’m hoping it’s better than the old one.
