Hi All

Can not find Beaches & Cream at the boardwalk anywhere. They did something called the kitchen sink I think (some sort of massive icecream)
Any info greatly received

Beaches & Cream is at the Beach Club....I nearly had heart faliure with the title of your post LOL :) It is DH favourite place.

Hi:

The Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is located in the Disneys' Beach Club resort which is near the Boardwalk... "easy" walking distance.

I can't wait to give it a try in September.

Have fun,

Mark

Beaches and Cream is Delicious :) It is a little restaurant in the Beach Club. You can get there by either driving to the Beach Club or walking/taking the boat from International Gateway at EPCOT or MGM. On our first trip here we had an afternoon break from EPCOT and had a late lunch at Beaches and Cream.

Here is a LINK to the menu.

They do gorgeous burgers and shakes as well as onion rings :) The Ice Creams are yummy, the famous kitchen sink is described as this....

Kitchen Sink - scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee and mint chocolate chip, smothered in every topping we have.

It is served in a dish resembling a kitchen sink:teeth: Even the sundaes are big enough to share.

Can you tell it is our favourite place ;)

Hi Kaylee, Thanks for the link, I am drooling as we speak !!!
Definately have to try that one out,

Like many things, this place just doesn't live up to the hype. If you just stumble across it, I'm sure it's fine, but listen to all the rapture here on the DIS and it will be a huge disappointment. When we stayed at the Beach Club, I was convinced we must have been at the wrong place. I mean this most sincerely - it has no atmosphere and is tiny, nothing more than a ... well, I don't even know how to begin to describe it and I genuinely believed it could not possibly be the place everyone raved about. Go with very limited expectations (i.e. you need to understand precisely what it is) and go at a quiet time (not at traditional mealtimes or after IllumiNations) and you'll probably enjoy it.

I don't mean any disrespect to anyone who loves the place, but I suspect those people either found it of their own accord or properly understood what they would encounter.

I believe that a high number of people go there, as we did a few weeks ago, to use their dining vouchers because it then proves to be excellent value.

We went there three times and all loved the food. It did seem to be very good. I will agree that it is small and fills up quickly, although they will offer you a pager so that you can go for a walk until your table is ready.

I suggest that you try it and you will probably be delighted. However, you will need to have a large family with a healthy appetite if you are thinking of ordering the "Kitchen Sink" - and a pair of broad shoulders as the staff announce to the whole room that you have ordered a "Kitchen Sink".

I totally agree with Deb. After reading all of the hype about Beaches and Cream, I was also very disappointed. We still enjoyed the tasty food and there was fairly good service, but I just didn't see how it had attracted so much hype.

I'm inclined to agree with Deb and Richard. We had heard such a lot about it that I was expecting something far bigger and (to be blunt) quite a bit better.

Food was good - portions very large. Onion rings OK - but I wouldn't rave about them. It was just a cafe to me.

We thought the burgers at B-Line diner were better.

Ditto these sentiments. The food is good if you think of it as a glorified burger joint. The onion rings are not worth the money. We found the service OK, but nothing to write home about. We asked for a booth. We were told that none would be free for 5 to 10 minutes, so we asked if we could take a table, check out the menu, order and then move to a booth. No problem we were told. Yeah right. No booth for us. My big problem was that there weren't any toilets in the restaurant, so you had to leave and visit the facilities in the next door arcade. I don't know about the rest of you but we wouldn't let our 7 year old daughter go on her own, which meant that my wife's meal was interupted.

Wouldn't go out of my way again. It's overhyped here on the boards.

I have to agree with the over hyped gang I'm afraid, it was very nice, but I'd read so much hype I was expecting something amaszing, whereas it's a nicely themed, small, burger / ice cream restaurant - with long waits for tables!!!

I know I had a hard time finding it yesterday! But now I know how close it is to the Lobby and Cape May's. It's right behind the BC's pool.

I tried the Frozen Sunshine, very good and filling, and a side of fries, also very tasty! :) There was a family eight behind me (I was at the counter) trying the Kitchen Sink, they dim the lights and everything! But I don't know for sure if the family ever ate it all!

I agree - a major disappointment

Beeline or the soda shop/diner in Celebration are way better and being off Disney, far less crowded.

I'm with the  :cool1: :jumping1: :thewave: :worship: crowd

I loved it, and we plan to go back this trip for our 3rd time.

We were told to go and seek it out by a friend, and all we expected was a good meal and a fab milk shake, and that's what we got!!

Only waited 10 minutes for a table each time.
