So, we're heading there soon with my one-year-old who has anaphylactic food allergies (her allergens are milk, egg, peanut, sesame and (recently discovered) chia). She's one, so at home she likes to eat things like pasta (vegan mac & cheese is her favorite), pinto beans, mashed potatoes, etc. As a nursing mom, I've had to avoid her allergens as well and have gone to places and gotten a safe burger and fries in the past. But, she won't eat any of the burger, and I don't consider fries a meal. Rancho Del Zocalo has not served us anything dangerous for her, but they never seem very knowledgeable or nice about allergies, so I am always nervous when we eat there.
So, here we are at pizza port, which the very thought of a pizza place with a milk allergy makes me nervous. I'm curious about the mars-inara with meatballs (that I could share with her). I think this meal is probably just an egg issue (and a milk cross-contamination issue) as pasta and meatballs may contain egg. Anyone with both and egg and milk allergy eaten anything at pizza port? Is it as horrible to get to talk to someone who cares about your allergy as it is at Rancho Del Zocalo?
