Has anyone used the teacher discount at S/D?

I noticed the discounted rooms for teachers, nurses, etc. featured on the opening page of the DIS boards. I didn't pay much attention till my parents decided we're going to WDW for summer vacation (2 times in one year for me! ). Both of them are teachers so I looked into that deal. It looks like a good deal, but I was wondering if anyone has used it and if I could get some feedback about it. Thanks a bunch!

I use it every year. It's great! You just need to show proof that you work in the school system - an I.D. , pay stub, etc.

My "second mom," who is a French teacher at the local hs used it in April without any problems.

I have used it at both the Swan and Dolphin - great rate - great resorts - even received comp upgrades!!! I am sold on the S/D!

College professor here, and it's good for me too! I've used it 3 times, it's good for 3 rooms at the discounted rates.

I've used it, and it's great. You basically get a deluxe hotel for the price of a moderate or value. The location by MGM/Epcot/Boardwalk is THE best! Tell your parents to book soon. The rumor is the rate is going to go up soon.

just last week! They did ask to see my wife's teaching certificate and really looked it over. When I mentioned that, they said that they had to start really looking at it more as many had been trying to use other documents to get the Teacher/Nurse rate.

We LOVED the Dolphin!

I'm staying at the Dolphin for the first time next month, and can't wait. I've heard so many good things about it, and the Swan. I think your parents should go for it. You will LOVE the location!
