Has anyone used the online check in?

Used it in April for our Easter vacation - LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!

When we got to POR the checkin line was 30+ people long (not kidding - it was Easter week). The online check in line had 2 attendents at it and no one to help. I walked right up and was in and out in 5 minutes. It was great.

We booked through AAA so she did the online check in for us and I jsut picked up the paperwork from her.

When you do the online check-in, do they assign your room to you at that time, too? We're going in Oct for our disneymoon and I'm wondering if we should do the online thing or just get in line with everyone else and hope for some pixie dust for our room!

This has probably been asked before, but do you stand a better chance of getting a quality room or upgrade if you check-in in person versus online?

I would like to know if there is a place to request a fridge (free of charge) for medical purposes when checking in on line as well. We are trying to decide if we should do it or not in September.

I used online check-in for my trip last week and it worked like a charm.

I just walked up showed my drivers license and got my folder, no problems. She pulled out the map, showed me where my room was and sent me on my merry way :mickeyjum

And on the plus side that was at 8am on our check-in day and the room was already ready. :goofy:

I did the online check-in the other day. Since I'm staying at Pop there was a place to request a fridge and/or a baby's bed. If your staying at a Value Resort, and the fridge is for meds, I would make a call or fax that request to get your fridge at no charge.
I'll report back ,after my trip. Yay less than a week!!:woohoo:

Thanks...I'll wait for your report. I am diabetic and on insulin so that's why we are able to have a fridge at no additional cost....We are staying at Pop Century, too

I am on a land/sea package. Can I do online check-in for WDW and if so, how long out can we do that?

We leave in 8 days for our trip and just this morning I went online to check-in. When we arrived in 2007 at the POR we arrived around 8am and were able to check in and got our room then too. This time i'm hoping it will be the same as we want to throw our stuff in the room and be at the park for opening. I'm glad to hear that checking in online makes it faster. I'm glad to hear how easy it is from others so when we get there we won't be looking around and waisting precious Disney time..lol

Someone has probably already asked this, but how do I check in online. I didn't see anything on the disneyworld.com website. Is there a direct link out there you could share?

It is in the My Disney Vacation section.
You will have to be logged in ,but after that it is easy.:thumbsup2

On-line check in made it quick! I arrived at about 11:30am. There was only on person in front of me. Once I got to the desk they took my name, verified address info, went and pulled my packet. My room was ready for me at that time, they showed me on the map where it was, and I was on my way! It took no more than five minutes!

I used it, but I didn't put my CC info into the online feature.
The CM swiped my CC when I got there.
There is a spot on the online check-in to request a fridge. But since POFQ already has fridges, I didn't need to request one.
Check-in was a breeze.

If I booked the trip through AAA do I have to have my travel agent check us in online? And when do you do this? I arrive on a Saturday and don't think my agent works on Saturdays.:confused3

I don't know if you can do it or if your TA has to, but you can check in up to 10 days prior to your arrival date so that shouldn't be a problem.

Same question--I booked through Small World Travel so does the TA have to do it?

It wouldn't let me - it said to try back later, so on a whim I tried my parents & it let me pre-register them, but still won't let me do mine????:confused3 I have tried for 2 days now & :confused3

I did online check-in a few weeks ago and it was great. There were several people in the regular check-in line and I felt kind of funny walking right up to the counter since it was right next to the other CM's checking everyone else in. Everyone just sort of looked at me like was getting in front of them. There was a small sign that said Online Check In, but not very noticeable. I almost didn't see it. It would be nice is their station was a little further away so there wouldn't be any confusion. I'll be more prepared when we go back in Sept.
