Has anyone used the DtD Courtyard By Marriott (20.03) discount in December?

I was lucky enough to get the great rate of $20.03 per night for Monday through Thursday nights for one week in August and September at the Downtown Disney Courtyaed by Marriott hotel.

I have heard that they have had a similar sale for December for $30.00 or less.

Has anyone here used that sale last December, 2002?

What was the price per night?

Were the days only good for Sunday through Thursday.

What were the dates that they were available for?

When did they advertise this special?

I was wondering what you paid for fri, sat and sun nights? I have reservations for 8 nights (9/19-9/27) for $59.00 per night thru Expedia. I thought I did pretty good until I find this sight and started seeing these incredible rates. I had to prepay but I can cancel for $25.00. I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth the trouble. I guess I need to find out if the rate is even still available Thanks for info you can give.

I am trying to plan a last minute trip for me and my children and got so excited when I saw this rate posted. Didn't realize it had been out for so long. For curiousity, I called this morning to see if it was still available and was told that they still have rooms available but they are only one night each. BUT... for anyone looking at December, he said that almost every week was still available for the Sun-Thur periods. Hope someone else can use this info! Now, I've got to try to find something affordable or we won't be able to go.

I'm sure I've missed this along the way, but what are the weekend rates? I'm assuming these 20.03 rates are only for sun-thur. night stays? We'll be going in Dec. too, in between our Disney cruise!

lexis - the rate is good for Dec. Apparently that is about all that is left of this rate, but be aware the rate is just on Sun - Thur. You can call the Courtyard directly (you have to for this rate) at 1-800-223-9930 and you have to ask for the $20.03 rate. Sure wish I could take advantage of it.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the week of NOV 30-Dec 5 has been sold out!! I sure wished that we could have booked it at that great rate!!

OMG! And I don't get paid till Thursday I guess I will call Thursday morning and see what is left. I was planning on going the 13th through the 19th of December so I would only have to pay Saturday night at the non-promo rate. I hope they still have the week left then

Do you guys think I will have a chance? I am a summer employee and make a lot less than what I do as a grad assistant in the fall and spring. Soooooo I have to wait till payday to purchase. I am doing this vacation with cash so I won't be paying it off later

Just called and the only dates that they hve left are Dec. 10th and 11th and the 16th. Hope this helps someone---we weren't able to get the correct dates.

The woman on the phone just told me they only had the 14th and the 18th available in December for the week I wanted. That is different from what the earlier poster stated.

I just booked a week in Dec. at marriott courtyard dtd for AAA rate of $69, which I thought was great--until I read about this rate $20.03 night. How do you find it? Do you call the hotel to book it? It doesn't come up on Marriott's website, and the 800 number I called didn't know anything about it. Can anyone tell me how to get it?

I have a reservation for the Best Western DTD for $49 night m-th, fri and sat. are $79 each. Considering prices for a decent Disney hotel, I still think this is excellent, but the Marriott rate sounds fantastic. Assuming its available, I guess the main thing to consider is the quality of the hotels--anyone stayed at both and have an opinion as to which is best? I understand Marriott Courtyard is within walking distance of DTD, while BW is about 1/2 mile away. If you had to take yet another shuttle this could seriously cut into your time. You might end up paying for taxis and eroding your savings.

Well, please someone give details as to how to book the great Marriott rate and how courtyard compares with Best Western.

I checked the rates for our dates and the weekend rate was 139 - 99 per night!

So in the long run, our five nights @ 20.03 would cost us close to what staying on site would! If not more....

I just called Courtyard by Marriott for December dates, and the clerk said they just added a bunch of rooms for Nov. 30 - Dec. 18 (Sun-Thurs only.) Hope this helps!!
