Is it Simba's Clubhouse?? What was your opinion?

We will be there in June and DH & I would LOVE to have some time to ourselves maybe to eat a meal in peace :) We have DS8 and DD4. We have been waiting for DD to be old enough (4) to stay at Disney's childcare places. What is it like??

TIA!

We are planning to use Simba's Cubhouse on our next trip. Last trip we used the Neverland Club as we were staying at the Polynesian and our kids (7 & 8) loved it. DS still talks about his "best friend" Mike from California who he met. It is fun for the kids to hang out with other kids if they've been with Mom and Dad all week.

I read somewhere that the AKL childcare decorates afican masks with the kids, has videa games, Disney Movies, and serves dinner. It isn't cheap, but worth it.

DH and I are planning to grab a quick meal from the food court, enjoy our balcony watching the animals, then off to shopping at the AKL Marketplace. The store looks fabulous!

When we were at AKL last August I made a PS for my DH and myself to eat at Jiko and a PS for my DS (then 4yo) at Simba's Cub House. I must admit that I felt a little guilty leaving him there for a few hours. But the guilt quickly faded - my DS BEGGED us to go back. Boy, am I glad that we did this early on in the trip . We finally gave in and let him go there 2 more times during the week, 2 hrs. each time - he got to eat and play with other kids and DH and I got to lounge in the hot tub! It is a more intimate environment than the Neverland club at the PR (my DS tried that last February and also had a good time but it is much larger) The CMs at Simba's were very attentive. There were a few arcade games, a table for arts and crafts (he made a beautiful dragonfly magnet that is still on my refrigerator) and a disney movie playing. When you check in they give you a beeper and you order dinner for your child (typical kid menu, chicken fingers, mac-n-cheese, hot dog, ice cream...) He keeps asking to go back to AKL. We are going to try the GF next and he already has a PS for the Mouseketeer Club there. Hope your kids enjoy it as much as my DS!:D

My DD also went to Simba's Clubhouse and she LOVED it!!! She had a great time - her favorite activity was coloring with markers.

We were going to dinner at BOMAs (for the first time) and we weren't sure if she would like it there, so I made reservations at Simba's Clubhouse for her. When we went to check in, the CMs talked with her for a little while, and let her choose what she wanted for dinner (hotdog, ff & choc milk); then they showed her around. She played with some of the other kids, and watched a little bit of the Disney movie on TV. Mostly, she colored with markers! She was only there for an hour - but she always asks about going back!!!

my dd also loved it when staying there at age 5. we had a ps at boma's. we were early in the evening since we were all going to enight at 8:00. So she was the only one there for most of the time. The CM was a grandmotherly type who paid a great deal of attention to her and read her stories. she made some sort of craft for us and loved the food. she'd go back in a flash.

Our girls loved Simba's last June and would go back if they have the chance. They were 5 and 7 at the time and dh and I had a wonderful meal at Boma.

Your DS will LOVE it! Video Games galore. Including two of the older upright video games that I used to plug quarters into when I was growing up. Luckily, these do not require quarters. At $10/per child/per hour, don't take your time picking them up.

My DS11 and DS7 begged to go back.
