Has anyone used sky auction?

I am looking at bidding for Orlando hotel. Just wondering if there are any surprise fee's on top of your bid, taxes, and processing fee. Has anyone done this and would you recommend it?

I have used it 3x now. On top of your bid is a $15 paper fee and a $195 rental fee. The best deals are on the "Ready, Set, Go" auctions.

I just got back from our trip and used them to book a hotel in Miami and they were great no surprises well except for the hurricane but skyauction wasn't at fault for that one LOL!.

I am bidding on a few things now but have not used it yet. A good friend of mine has travvled on skyauction a few times and told me to becareful of a few things:

>Read the actuion crefully, any charges should be listed. Most common is the $195 surcharge
>Some of the resorts put allot of pressure and resort to some unethical sales tactics top egt you to sign up for a time share so check out the resort before hand and be prepared to say no.

Just won my fist Skyauction. One week at Summer Bay, 2 bedroom for $212. I will let everyone knwo how it turns out. I certianly hope that we don't get second class treatement based on how little I paid.

Congratulations Ed, what an amazing price. I have never stayed there but have looked at their web site. It looks wonderful. Can you let us know how it works out? From what I have read from other DISers, you are treated as all other guests.

Congrats Surfer Ed- You will not be treated any different and one simple "No' puts an end to the timeshare tour. I don't even think we were asked at all last time.
