Has anyone used Lyft/Uber to Port Canaveral?

It’s a bit unlikely that hubby & I will stay at WDW prior to our next cruise. We’re actually favoring a couple nights at Cabana Bay Beach Resort and spending a day at Volcano Bay. So I know I’ll do a Lyft from airport to hotel. I opened Lyft & put in a pseudo ride request from the hotel to DCL in Port Canaveral and it showed a rate of $66 & change. So figuring on adding a 20% tip, that would put the cost just shy of $80. That’s less than half what a private town car transfer costs and still less than what it would cost us to Lyft back to the airport and pay $70 for DCL transfers. It’s one step less and less expensive to go with Lyft. My only apprehension here is whether or not any Lyft driver would want to go that far. I’m assuming they can reject fares if they don’t feel comfortable with the routes. I know there’s tolls going out to the port as well (which I’d pay, of course). I’m just curious if anyone has had any experience with Lyft to port from any Orlando area hotels.

We always use Lyft for Port Canaveral from Disney or the Orlando airport hotels. Cost ends up being around 80-90 bucks for us it seems like on average. We don't like waiting for the Disney bus and like getting to the Port earlier. The Uber/Lyft ride is very convenient. No issues - cheaper than a taxi and faster than the bus.

We’ll be trying this as well next year, from ASMovies to Port Canaveral and then back to the airport. How’s Uber from Port Canaveral to MCO? We have to make an 11am flight and wondered if pick up would be quick and hassle free. Is it necessary to schedule ahead of time or can you just request the driver when leaving the ship?

Perfect. Thanks. I would hate to be trying to wing it the morning of the cruise if I couldn’t get a Lyft. I searched but didn’t see where anyone had stated they actually used Lyft going to the port. Glad to know it’s doable. Thanks again!

It works, but the Port there is being difficult for Uber and lyft in that they have to pay a port access fee and can not park on sight. That being given we still use them. Cost about 100 to go Disney, 70 ish to go to MCO. That includes the extra fees. They have to wait off site so it takes about 10 minutes to get a car at the Port.

I'm new to this as well. Just want to be clear - Uber/Lyft CAN still pick you up at the port - you just have to wait about 10 minutes? Thanks!

Yes, just go to the taxi stand area outside and order your Uber/Lyft - they will pick you up there (there are signs as well to direct you). Takes about 10 minutes for the car to get from the waiting lot to the Port.
