Has anyone used Gold Mobility for scooter rental?

How has drop off been? I see 7am is the earliest time available. Are they pretty prompt?

Thank you!
Did you see this post?

SCHEDULING: READ ME * : Your Delivery & Pick up times are your * REQUESTED * times. Due to logistics (such as some resorts being further than others and availability), it is likely your delivery and/or pickup times may be adjusted within an hour of the selected time ESPECIALLY for 7am and 6pm requests!

We used Gold for many years. Service was always good. Pricing was competitive.

The only reason we stopped using them was needing to add a scooter last minute and Gold was sold out, so we tried a small company. What we loved with this smaller company was being able to schedule late pick-ups, like 10pm and 11pm. And better pricing!

I would’ve went back to Gold. We used them the 10 trips prior, no complaints. The price increases were getting out of hand though. 7 years ago we paid $150 for what today they are asking $250. After that smaller company came through in a pinch, with much better pricing, we’ve become loyal to them the last 3 trips. So far no complaints.

The policy isn't new. The clear explanation is somewhat new.

Drivers deliver in areas (zones). You're the only 7a drop off request. Your scooter will be delivered at 7a.

Assume Gold has a 7a drop off request for guests staying at POP, AoA and CBR. The drop off times will be adjusted so 2 guests aren't complaining about a late drop off.

Several times I was given a choice of drop off times an hour apart. I requested 10:30. A day before I was asked if I'd prefer 10 or 11.

I asked for 11, arrived closer to 10 and texted the driver. I had the scooter in about 10 minutes

Yes, but when someone is asking how prompt they are... expecting 7am and getting shifted to 7:15 or 7:30 may make them late for an ADR.
True. Bell service delivery is a plus for Swan and Dolphin. Bell service delivery is a plus for scooterbug.

Unless they are banned on here, can I ask what the company's name is? While Gold is our preferred company when we do need to rent, always good to have options, I mean what if they are sold out, etc.?

I wasn’t positive but see no reason why I couldn’t share.

This is a small family run company I believe. The one thing I will say for Gold is they keep the scooters in very good condition. This company was fine, just a tad more ‘worn in’ lol. Not a huge difference in condition overall though. These scooters worked just fine and I really liked the lower prices and the willingness to pick it up so late when we were done.

The company is Noble Mobility. Each ECV was $187 for the week. Gold now wants $225, even after their typical 10% discount from $250/wk.

This is our receipt from Feb 2025 for 2 scooters.

I can't see the image, but it doesn't look like the Victory 10 comes with the captains seat through them (something DH and I both need), Also doesn't seem to have cup holders, cell phone holder or fans or a USB port, all included with Gold Mobility. And the damage waiver is extra, when I add as close to that as possible by adding a cushion, the USB charger, the cup holder, the damage waiver, etc. I end up with a week costing $240 and it still doesn't have a fan. Now, if those things aren't important to you, then yes, the base price is less expensive, but just remember to compare apples to apples, I am not saying it is bad, just that you should be aware of the differences.

remember to compare apples to apples,
Gold didn't have a scooter available one time. Golds delivery scheduling didn't work another trip.

Gold didn't even make the cut for an Apples to Apples comparison. Gold lost by default.

I think the Victory now has a USB port as standard.

Availability trumps included accessories.

Staying at Swan or Dolphin solves scheduling issues.

Yes, granted, sorry my point was for future reference, if you are just looking at price (assuming both have availability)

they were very good with me I used then twice and they were within 5 minutes of the time each time. they also text you when they get there and are on the way

JMHO really wanted to stay with GMS after several stress free rentals…to the point we cancelled our short stay onsite @ WDW pre cruise and booked a rental @ Wyndham bonnet creek club. The resort rates there were also competitive but you have to pay resort fee & parking.

JIK anyone is considering WBC for future booking:

GMS is able to leave scooter/pickup from bell services there. It was just a bit more than the AP rate @ ASMu. We love it there, especially the poolscapes, more room and location. No issue re bus service, as we rent a car & have APs for parking.

Thanks for the replies about 7am drop offs! I want to use them for my mom since they seem to be better than Scooterbug but we are arriving late at night. I think I’ll just do Scooterbug this trip because she would have to walk to the hotel room our first night and back the next morning to get the scooter and I would probably never hear the end of it. 😂 and then if the Scooter was late on our first morning, I would never hear the end of it from my sister. 😂

The senior and AP rate at Swan and Dolphin are frequently competitive with Disney moderates.

Arriving tell bell services you have a scooter. You'll have Your scooter in a few minutes. Hand a bell hop your keys as you leave

It works with Gold and other vendors

Drop off/pickup scheduling question.

American Airlines has been "adjusting" the time of our flight to Orlando. I have no control over that. What if I schedule a time for Gold Mobility to drop off, and American changes the flight again? or if there are weather/other flight delays that day? Do I just call/email Gold Mobility and let them know? or what happens if I haven't made it to the resort yet?

For them picking up, we hope to take Mears Connect back to the airport. With a 12pm flight, we expect Mears to pick us around 9am, so obviously need the scooter picked up before then. Do I have to wait in the resort lobby for them with the scooter during the pickup window, or do they call when close or onsite for me to come down with the scooter? Just thinking of logistics of showering and getting ready in the morning.

Gold is very good about adjusting to your schedule, just let them know as soon as you are aware of flight schedule changes, gives them the most time to prepare, but they also understand flight delays and such happen too.

According to my text message history, they texted me the day before to confirm my pickup time and then again when they arrived. I was already waiting in the lobby so it worked well for me.

Good to hear! We had a delay once, and Gold's answer was that they'd just leave the scooter at the resort with the key in it. Luckily my DDIL saved the day-she was already at the resort so she offered to be there for pick up. I texted Gold, and let them know whom they'd be meeting. The only disadvantage was that when I got there, if I hadn't been a regular scooter user (but I was), there was no one to answer questions, show me how things work, etc. Hopefully, if I have a flight delay again, things will work better.
