Has anyone used DDP for Spirit of Aloha?

has anyone used DDP credits to book SOA? Which tier and what show? Is the cancellation policy the same as other ADRs?

I used DDP credits to reserve the 8:15 show, tier 3 seats. I'm pretty sure I've read that you can book category 2 or 3 with DDP credits. This is what the guarantee information says: For dining reservations guaranteed by a credit card, Guest who cancel within 48 hours of their reservation time or fail to show will be charged a $10 per person fee for each Guest on the reservation. I'm guessing that means that it's 48 hours cancellation or it uses DDP credits?

If you no show you will get charged on a credit card on file (that you used to guarantee) or two credits per.

I just booked it today for next month. I could use my dining credits for category 2 or 3 at either show. I booked category 2 for the 8:15 show.

I am planning on booking it via the DDP but it was asking for a CC...I'm currently outside my ADR window so I'm guessing when its time to book it for real it'll use my credits.

Don't they always ask for Cc number to hold the place?? Then when you check in they will take points from your plan??!!

It has you check a box that you want to reserve using your dining plan. It will still ask for a credit card incase you cancel or don't show.

Dinner shows are not a $10 per person cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is the entire cost of the dinner show. Even if you are planning to pay with dining credits, it will ask you for a credit card to guarantee the reservation. Before you click to pay online, make absolutely sure that it is not charging you the full cost of the event. You must have a dining plan attached to your room reservation to be able to do this.

You don't even have any dining credits until you have actually checked in to your resort, and you don't spend them on a dinner show until the point where you pick up your tickets to the show. If you don't cancel more than 48 hours out, don't show up and don't pick up your tickets, the credit card you left as a guarantee will be charged the full cash cost of the event, but you'll still have your dining credits.

We used dining credits in April for a party of 15! Personally, I don't think there's a bad seat but because we were a large group we were right up front and I didn't make any special requests other than a birthday celebration when I made our reservation.
