Has anyone used a travel device to push/roll the car seat through the airport?

I am not sure what they are called, but they are basically a travel cart or carrier with wheels so you do not have to carry your car seat through the airport or when traveling. Are they worth purchasing? What is a good kind to get? Thanks for any info.

He attaches the car seat to a small rolling suitcase. It sits on top; he hooks latches together (around the handle) and ties tether to the top. Its perfect and we use the suitcase as our carry on bag (its one of those small ones that you can put in the overhead).

Wow, great idea - thank you!!!!

We purchased one through gogobabyz.com I think it's called gogokids travelmate. It was well worth the price. It eliminates the need for a stroller in the airport and DD loved riding in it. I think I paid around $70, DH (who is very tight with money said he's glad we got it). You might be able to find them cheaper on ebay.

Oh wow, thank you! I will go check it out right now. It sounds perfect. BTW, I love your Steve Irwin picture. We were also big fans of him and all that he did. We went to the Australia Zoo just days before he passed away. It's so sad. Seeing your signature brightened my day.

We too have the gogokidz for our Marathon and it is great. We have used it many times and will continue to do so until dd outgrows her carseat.

Do you put it in the overhead storage on the plane? Do you find it bulky to take with you when you are not on the plane [does it fold up?]? Thanks so much!

I was looking for a way to wheel the car seat through the airport also. I found something called "Traveling Toddler". It is a strap that hooks to your wheeled carry on bag. Has anyone used them before?

We do put it on the overhead storage. And it is not really bulky, it is like a foldable luggage cart, the only bulk are the wheels (one on each side), but when you are pulling the carseat it doesn´t make it anymore bulky than it is already.

Here is the link: http://www.gogobabyz.com/products/gogo_kids.html

Mine is the older version that was made for the Marathon and I feel, from watching the pix, that mine is a lot narrower. http://www.specialtybaby.com/gobagoki.html

I think MexicanMouseketeer answered your question. It is pretty compact and fits into the overhead easily. No it doesn't fold up, it's just a flat piece. It does go up and down like a suitcase for height.

It is also very, very easy to install. DH practiced before we left just to make sure he knew what to do - time is of the essence when you're getting on & off a plane with little ones. It attaches in about a minute or less and comes off in about 20 sec. So easy. Dh really resisted buying it saying we didn't need it BUT on the way home he admitted that I was right - well duh!;)

You won't regret buying it.

Oh, it also is very smooth. Ours has razor scooter type wheels and is not bumpy at all. DD really thought she was hot stuff, rolling in her car seat and sucking her thumb. She got tons of looks.

We also have the gogobabyz carseat attachment. It is GREAT!! I think it's the official website that has it where you can rent it as well - but the difference between buying it and renting was minimal enough that we just bought one. Of course now we are looking at not taking the carseat on our next trip (DD will be almost 4) since we are going to use magical express and depend on Disney transportation. But even for that one trip it was very worth it. And if we have another baby I'm sure we'll be thrilled to have it then.
