Has anyone tried to upgrade a 04 AP to a new price PAP?

So If I am understanding this correctly... I can apply my full purchase price ($403) to the discounted PAP ($390).. and NOTHING is prorated?.. I'm basically exchanging an AP that has been "used" 6 months, or an upgraded pass that has 6 months "left".. AND getting 10 bucks back to boot?

Yep, you got it! It's a real bonus, and as someone posted earlier on this thread about the only time you get money BACK from WDW!

Both of our upgrades were performed at the EPCOT Guest Relations (near front entrance). I would rate that location as "very confused" concerning the process. My experience on Tuesday took about 30 minutes to complete (getting the $5+ back). My DH's upgrade took less time but more people and a "bad answer."

I wonder if the Interntaional Gateway wouldn't be a good location for the upgrade. Seems like there would be a good flow of DVC members through that gate.

Don't know how staff might be rotated from one location to another, though.

We'll be upgrading at the Intenational Gateway in Epcot. That's where we've done most of our purchases, etc. I am so excited, even if I don't get the $5 back.
