Has anyone tried to buy BCV or BWV points directly from DVC lately?

I noticed a few months ago that some people were able to buy/add on BWV or BCV points directly from DVC. Have you heard of anyone lately getting those?

I managed to get 65 Feb UY BWV points in February. We wanted 75-80, but took the 65 bcs that was what was availalble thru DVC at the time.

we did back to back add-ons, bcv, in dec, 32 pts, 25 pts, nothing since then, and we check periodicaly with our guide, possibly because we want small add-ons of 25-50 pts at a time
just went to closing on a bwv re-sale because we got tired of waiting

I put a CC on deposit with my guide and she called me when they had them available. She did not have many available (less than 150) March UY so I was extremely lucky to get them.

we were one of the lucky ones to be able to buy into (not an add on) the BWV directly thru DVC last october.

the reason points were available was that the sales offices are moving and they will convert them to villas, hence they had inventory available. i doubt this kind of situation will ever come up again unless they add more rooms.

My understanding is that the DVC sales offices at SSR will be in a separate building from the villa buildings. I that this was not the case at BWV, but what did they do at BCV or VWL??? Did more points become available when those sales offices moved or not?

Wait a minute, were there ever sales offices at BCV or VWL or did they just keep the offices at BWV the whole time since moving to BWV from OKW at the time BWV opened? Anyone clear this up???

You got it right the second time around. The BCV and the VWL never had a sales office located at the resort. It was always at the BWV while they were selling VWL and then the BCV.

I just got a call last week about 100 BWV pts, Oct use year. There may have been more pts available for this use year, I do not know. I was only interested in 100.

I got 100 BWV points (Feb. UY) about a month ago, and I just learned of a friend that was able to get 45 BWV, not sure which use year.

So, as far as sales offices closing and making room for some more points to be sold:

Hilton Head: I was there for a sales presentation and it was in a building away from the villas. Not sure what it is used for now???

Vero Beach: Never been there, no idea for this one.

OKW: I thought I had read that they had torn down something, Commodore House (?) and built a few more buildings, maybe the ones with elevators, so more points were sold there later on too.

BWV: Yes, this is where the question started. The sales offices were in space that is now or will become more villas and points.

BCV: N/A, sales office was at BWV.

VWL: N/A, same as BCV

SSR: Sales office is not going to be in one of the 12 villa buildings, it must be in one of the previous DI buildings, so I wonder what it will be used for once SSR is sold out and the sales offices move on again or maybe they would kept it there like they did at BWV while they built add-on DVC units to CR or Poly or whenever else.
