Has anyone tried to book a trip w/ a pin that expired?

We had a trip planned with a pin, but canceled it. But now we're rethinking going and staying at POP and only getting the counterservice plan to save money. The pin expired 2 weeks ago. I'm thinking about calling Disney to re-book a cheaper trip with my pin. I don't know what they will tell me. Anyone do this?

I just got off the phone a few hours ago with a CM. I got a pin today, but was hoping for the other pin that was sent out. I was trying to sweet talk him into trading them (it didn't work). He actually tried to pull up one of my old pin codes (he didn't realize it had expired), and the system wouldn't let him. He said, "Oh, that expired on May ___. We can't do that."

It won't hurt to try, but I would guess the system will not allow them to apply expired pins.

Not gonna happen sorry. Its not a matter of finding a nice CM or guest services to do it, the system will say error- dates are not valid
