I have read a few mixed reviews on the spa at the GF. I will have a car so getting to these other locations is not a problem. The spa at the Gaylord Palms is a Canyon Ranch spa. I have been to Canyon Ranch in Las Vegas and enjoyed it tremendously.

I am looking for a full service spa with a sauna a whirlpool tub as well as shower facilities.

Any experiences? I am open to other suggestions and comments on other spas outside of the WDW complex in the Orlando area.

May I suggest you consider the spa at Grande Lakes Resort? It is UNBELIEVABLE. Truly the most luxurious spa I have seen, with a full service menu, a spectacular pre-service area (big, soft lounge chairs and sofas in a private all-women ((or all men)) area, complete with orange-infused water, luscious bathrobes, in the most graceful of settings), whirlpool, sauna, steam room, sliced cucumber for your eyes as you're luxuriating. Their spa menu is far to extensive to list here.

Afterwards, there is a small cafe where you can have fresh salad, smoothies, light vegetarian lunches.....just the lovliest of offerings.

They also have a private pool (hotel guests not using the spa cannot enter), so it is truly a day trip if you would like for it to be. WELL worth considering. It's beyond your typical spa experience.
