My son and I are going to be in Orlando in early July. We stayed in a Bay view room two years ago and loved it.
this time,we are considering a Portofino suite.
Can anyone comment on these rooms?
Thanks for your help!

The Portofino suites are very nice. It is a regular room with an attached parlor. The parlor is the same size as the bedroom. It has a pull-out queen couch, coffee table and a flat-screen tv.

The bathroom has a very large, walk-in shower rather than the shower/tub combo.

The Portofino suites are in the West Wing. Apparently, there are only 6 of them. Most are pool views, although there is at least one on the ground floor of the west wing with doors opening up to the bay.

Goofy is right! :thumbsup2 The best Portofino Suite is steps away from the boat dock in the West Wing. The room numbers are 3135(parlor) and 3137(two queens). 3133( King bedroom) can also be added on.

The nicest thing about the Portofino suites is TWO BATHROOMS!!!!!

Out of curiousity, is that what your friend told you?

(I remember this conversation on the PBH 'sticky')

Hi Bubba'a mom! That is the suite we have stayed in a couple of times- there is another one on the ground floor- West wing- just a little further from the boat dock. The other four are higher floors- no balconies- in the West wing also.

I'm sorry....I didn't make myself clear :headache: I think what I meant was "why" is this considered to be the 'best' suite?

Out of the 6 portofino suites it is closest to the boat dock and closest to the resturants. If you need a balcony/patio it is one of two that has outside access. I am told it has the best view of the 6- but I can't be sure of this because we have not stayed in all six.

I've stayed in two on the pool side of the west wing.

2nd floor - 3250 & 3252 - view was of the baby pool and the beach pool behind it. Partially obstructed with trees. Sorry, didn't take pics of this room, but just imagine being about 3 rooms to the right from the ones below.

3rd floor - a bit further down the hall (will be back with the room numbers) - view was just past the baby pool and afforded a great view of the top of the beach pool slide.

So, between the two on the bay side, bottom floor and the two that we have stayed in, that takes care of 4 of the suites.

Anybody else know the other two?
