Has anyone tried the folding booster car seat by Compass? We are looking for a comfortable car booster seat for our dd. We saw they have one by Compass that actually folds, which would be great for traveling with. Just wandering if anyone has this seat, and if your children like it.

Thank you in advance for your help!!! :wave2:

I don't have an answer for you as I have not seen one personally and other techs I know haven't either. If you check out the Ivillage board, they have a really active (40-50 posts day) car seat board with some really knowledgeable people there. I'm sure someone has had an experience with one of their folding seats by now! :)

thanks for the information on the other car seats board. They had a lot of reviews and comments on the compass folding booster seat. elitecarseats.com also had great reviews. We are definately going to order one for our dd.

Thanks again!!!

Ur welcome, I hoped it helped since I didn't have any personal knowledge of it but wanted to see if you could get more info.

That board is really busy over there, glad you got some info! :)

I have the booster. It is very light and easy to carry. The cover material is very good. The seat is very sturdy and it is very well padded. It has dual cupholders which holds toys or drink boxes very well. It is adjustable so it will grow with your child. Overall, it is an excellent booster seat. We have several boosters (Century, Graco Turbo Booster and Recaro Start) and next to the Recaro Start, it is my sons' second favorite booster. Save the box if you do get it since you can reuse it to check-in for plane trips. The top has small plastic closure that you can turn to reclose the box.

We have had the Compass booster for almost 2 years and have taken it on 4 trips to Disney. We bought the travel bag for about $14.00 from Target online and it fits great with a nice strap over the shoulder. We check it with our baggage.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed the top (I got the gold with black) was getting a little faded from the sun (otherwise the fabric is in great condition still) and decided to check into ordering a replacement cover. I contacted compass through their website www.compassbaby.com and ordered a new set of 4 pads in the True Blue (it came to $29.99 including shipping) and arrived two days after I called via UPS ground. It was very easy to replace all the pieces and the first set washed beautifully so we have that one for a spare now. I have been very happy with how the seat covers have held up and the quality of the seat.
