Has anyone tried the magical gatherings offer?

What exactly is this? I got information in the mail and it looks to me as if they are advertising group activities for 8 or more people. Are these activities offered at a discounted rate? Do people traveling with a magical gatherings group get any kind of group rate on rooms or anything else?

Last week I booked five rooms with a total of 10 adults, 3 kids. I called the regular # and they made me call a special #, magical gatherings. I was on the line with the CM for 45 min. total but it was so simple. She knew her stuff and guranteed we would all have our rooms adjoining and certain ones connecting. That's what they do. It was soooo easy. She even took all my preferences for location already.

As far as the special events they have do a search. I've only heard good things about them, but my group personally isn't that large so we're not interested for the high price.
