Has anyone traveled with kids with college ages boyfriend/girlfriend

We put the then boyfriend, now son-in-law, in the living room at BLT. We had lots of bathrooms for two daughters and the trip was great. We were happy to be together. I didn't worry about lack of privacy for young people. The next trip will be more complicated. We will have a young married couple and a daughter and her boyfriend.

Yes, that one will be interesting? Any idea what you are going to do on that one (just curious....thinking ahead 6 years.....my DD and her BF think they are getting married after college, my other DD probably wouldn't get married for several years even if she has a BF....so we may be in this situation).

I was thinking maybe the THV would work, with the 3 bedrooms plus the living room sofa sleeper. But other than a GV, how would you do this? Maybe get a studio and a two bedroom? But that will be a lot more points.

Have you given consideration to utilization of the balcony for subject BF?

I know of some who have utilized the bathtub with their own bedding brought from home. And I am NOT kidding, LOL :rotfl:

We did a trip in August that consisted of DS 21 and gf, DS 22 and friend, DH and myself. It was our first time having a gf join us. We did a spilt between BWV and AKV, my two favorite resorts. It was very easy to do and I am so glad we did it that way. We did 3 separate rooms at BWV and a GV at AKV, so I don't have experience with setting up a 2 BR. Because DS and gf are a little older, we didn't have a problem with them sharing a room. I probably would have felt differently if they were still teens.

I know I am of no help on the room situation but just wanted to give you a little push for the split! We went to Epcot and HS when we were at BWV, and AK and MK when we were at AKV. The two resorts are so incredibly different that they make a perfect split stay (IMO)!

We have been owners for 12 years and I swear the trips just keep getting better and better! Loved the trips when the kids were younger but this had to be one of our best yet! It was so much fun to have 2 people join us that had never been to WDW before. Have a wonderful trip!

Here is a link to my mini tr. Maybe that will help convince you to do the split! ;)

Well with having to book out so far, I would not want to book an extra room that may end up empty and we don't have a lot of points (only 150 per year, and we are going to bank for year or borrow in order to do this).

I figure if we have a 2 bedroom and they break up, that just means no one is in the living room.

In 2009 me(21 then) and bf went with my parents and little sister(14) and cousin. We had a 2 bedroom at SSR and my parents stayed in the king room, my sister and cousin stayed on the sleeper sofa and my bf and I stayed in the two bed room, which we respected my mother's wishes and slept in seperate beds. It worked out very good for us. The only bonus I would see is having a 2 bedroom like BLT that has a 3rd restroom. My cousin accidentilly walked in my bf in his underwear! :rotfl2:

Funny part of the story I feel is that when we got home and my mom was making a calendar from photopass she wanted to make sure I thought we would still be together in 2010 so not to waste good calendars! :rotfl: I am happy to report that we got engaged at WDW, are now married and new DVC members!

DDs think 2 bedroom and studio but that is lots of points. Probably use honor system with daughter on sofa and boyfriend on sleeper chair. THV would also work but I am not crazy about the location. There are worse problems to have:)

Boy this 'young adult' stage is a difficult one isn't it!

But I agree, I would hate to use up extra points for an extra studio.

Just curious....do you (or anyone) know if it is possible to pull the sleeper chair into the master bedro, and is there room to open it?

It has previously been reported here that the sleeper chairs are far too heavy and bulky to move and in some cases do not fit thru the door frames.
