Has anyone travel with child under 4 via Taxi in WDW?

We have 4 adults + 1 2-year-old toddler. It seems to be a MUST to be car-seats before we can get onto a taxi.

Is it easy to get a taxi that:
1). offers a car-seat
2). carry 4 adults + 1 child on car-seat (should we ask for a van)

I decided not to rental a car, but may need such service everyday, such as:
i). from MK back to POFQ in evening
ii). travelling between resorts

Any advice?

I can't answer your main question. I'm sure someone can and will.
I can say that to get to other resorts the easiest way is to use the nearest theme park. To try to get from one resort to another always involves a transfer. If you plan on the nearest theme park it will make your life a lot easier. For example, from the MK you can easily get to the Contemporary, Poly and GF via the monorail....you can even walk to the Contemporary in about 7 minutes.
If you want to visit any of the Epcot resorts (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin) you can get to this area via the Epcot International Gateway. The furthest hotel from the Epcot IG is maybe a ten minute walk.
You can also get to this area from the Disney Studios by either a longer walk or by taking the Friendship boats that travel between the Studios and the Epcot IG. The boats stop along the route at the Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Clubs, and Swan/Dolphin. You do not have to enter the Studios to catch the boats.

Some of the taxi's have car seats but it seems that most of the time the drivers don't put them in correctly. In addition you don't know the history of the car seat, i.e. how old is it, has it been in accidents... I would just rent a car and bring my own carseat.

If it is not a budget breaker, I would rent a van. We always rent a car when we go- with little children, I cannot tell you how valuable it is to be able to come and go as we please. The waits for Disney transportation can be long, and I know that those minutes can mean the difference between a cranky child and total melt down!!!! Also, I tend to be a germaphobic, and from some of the carseats I have seen in taxis- they are nasty! Anyway, if you do rent a van, try Priceline- we have gotten some really good deals. Also, look on the Transportation board for tips on how to save $$$ on car rentals.

Thank you for everyone's advice.

wdwgoofeeee, one night we will have dinner and watch wishes from GF resort. I am just afraid that after dinner, it will be over-crowded if we take monorail back to MK and get on the bus to POFQ, since many people should be leaving around that time.

Soccerpooh, I also considered to rental a van. However, I heard that it is a nightmare if you try to park at MK, since you have to take a ferry or monorail from parking to the front entrance of MK (is that quite far away?).

It is not too far if you drive to the MK. You have to park at TTC, and then either take the monorail or fairy to the MK. (Both drop you off about as close as the buses do). It is only a pain at night, if you stay until after Wishes or until close. No matter what way you get there, it can be a nightmare getting out if you do stay that late- everyone is trying to leave at the same time, and you all have the same 3 transportation options to get out of the park. We always shop on MainStreet and wait for the crowds to thin out. Were you planning on taking the child's car seat on the plane? If not, car rental places usually have seats to rent. Have fun! :)
