Has anyone traded weeks with a DVC member and a different vacation club member

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. Have any DVC members traded weeks with a member that may be part of a different vacation club just to stay somewhere else where Disney isn't available? For example, my wife and I are vacation club members to UVC (Unlimited Vacation Club) and we have unlimited nights we can use for the next 10 years at many Secrets, Dreams, Breathless and Now resorts in Mexico and throughout the Caribbean. We still love going to Disney and usually rent points from a DVC member to stay at a Deluxe resort. Has anyone done this?

I think I've read of exchanges between DVC owners and Atlantis owners, when Atlantis was a desirable location. These are "person to person" exchanges and require a measure of trust on both sides.

I've occasionally seen "non-DVC Trade Offered" threads on the DIS DVC Board. Can't speak to whether or not they have been successful, though. Note that the DIS does not allow "resort system trades".

If you are not a DVC Member, but have a reservation available at a condo or another timeshare to offer in trade for a DVC reservation, please submit a thread to be validated. We would suggest using "Non-DVC Trade Offered" as the title. The arrival date of the existing reservation needs to be within 6 months. You may only offer reservations at your home resort, the resort where you physically own. No RCI/II trades, and no resort system trades may be offered. These trades may only be for a reservation using DVC points. No cash reservations are allowed.
